Wanted to write an update in regards to this restaurant. While I don’t check the«email» for Unilocal often, when I finally did a few months back, I saw that I had received an email from the supposed owner of the place named Gus. I do not know if it was the real owner obviously but other reviewers(read the filtered section reviews) stated they were also contacted by this same person,(and same name) and state that he is/was the owner. Anyhow, I received an email which was full of foul langauge and ebonics, calling me a bunch of names — which I cannot repeat here, stating I knew nothing about nothing or the restaurant business. I deleted the email, chalking it up as just some teenage prank or something — UNTIL I saw that various other reviewers of this same place also received similar emails from the SAMEPERSON. ** I also noticed I received another disgruntled email/reply under my same review for this place, only on the yahoo review page. The person’s name wasn’t mentioned, but it was almost verbatim the exact email I received here from Gus, which leads me to believe it came from the same source. I can’t verify who it is exactly or if that person did manage the restaurant or maybe was just another disgruntled former employee or even customer — BUT — for somebody who might be a business person to contact patrons and email them foul langauge and insults is simply reprehensible. Final Point. A perfect 5-star raving review of this place was posted by ‘Gus’ which was seemingly removed for violating Unilocal policy. He obviously tried doing damage-control and rating his own establishment. Note to GUS: NOT a good way to try and keep or get new referral customers, man… Probably why this place shut down…

The sign says«New Concept Coming Soon,» so if the location re-opens, it is likely not going to be the same as the previous Nest Café.

Awesome breakfast spot! Haven’t had lunch here but come here when I’m hungover and there is nothing better that it… well honey jam café does better than this place in my opinion. Though one of the things about nest that’s better than most its that their space is pretty big so you probably won’t have to wait that long for a table. There skillets are really good I usually get the gyros skillet and their toast isn’t wimpy like some other places.

I’ve visited this place several times and it really comes down to The Nest Café being just around the corner. Neither the food or service are worth the price. In many ways this reminds me of diners in the city. You walk in, sit down, order, eat, and leave. We all have to eat to stay alive and this place does that well. However, if you’re about eating to experience new flavors, enjoy a great atmosphere, or otherwise have fun through food(especially with friends and family), you have other choices.

Reduced hours? Say it ain’t so, The Nest! I dropped by for dinner last weekend only to find out they’re closed. The new hours are something like 6 – 3. I still love the food and service you offer, The Nest, but minus 1 star for this move(even if I understand the economics of it.)

Been here several times with the family and usually only for breakfast or lunch. The menu is traditional American and comprehensive enough that everyone found something to enjoy. The food quality was fair for the price but I’m not overly impressed. I think the major attraction for everyone is the décor of the place. However one family member ordered orange juice and was served Tang or possibly Sunny Delight. The drink was returned and removed from the bill. We mentioned it to the manager at the checkout and he told us that they received the wrong product from the supplier. As to why they still knowingly continued to serve it in lieu of the real thing is beyond me. Other than this one lapse in judgment, I gave them 3 stars for delivering a decent meal at a fair price and everyone leaving satisfied.

I have been coming to Nest Café for years now, and FINALLY am trying to get better at UnilocalING about ALL places I love and live at and Nest is one of them! Can we start with breakfast. The Omelettes are so fresh good and always hot! I love eggs so I tend to to do Omelettes and mostly the Fried Egg Sandwich or Breakfast Burrito(if I have a had a rough night the night before!) Also the wait staff/owners know the menu, are fast and friendly. I have pretty much had all of their Salads but am loving the Stuffed Avocado and the Ranchers You must must must have their burgers and esp Balsac Steak Wrap! I can go on and on and on… All I can say is make your way to Nest Café as soon as possible!

Located at the far end of the strip mall on the NW corner of Rt. 59 and Stearns, there is plenty of parking and the inside décor is nice. The host area is nicely done with painted ceiling as if you are outside and walls made like buildings and windows looking out to a courtyard. On a slower weekday evening, everyone was seated to the side seating area which is like a regular restaurant. The menu is pretty vast. There are full dinner options as well as typical lunch fare. I always head over to the breakfast section which is served all day. The skillet was pretty good and it comes with pancakes. I chose scrambled egg beaters for my eggs and they were nice enough to make that change complimentary. My friend had the pumpkin pancakes for $ 6.99, which the restaurant says is made year round. The 4 pancakes were pretty good and large, so she took 3 home. Overall, service was good, the physical restaurant and restroom are clean, and they have plenty of ice cream options for dessert!

Yummmmmmy! I’m a soup fan. And their soups are among the«best of bred» that can be had in the area. Burgers are good, generous and cooked to perfection. Become a «regular» and the wait-staff is sure to stop by and say«hi» and make sure your food is served hot & your Ice Tea is topped off. I love their salads for the freshness and variety/inventive way that they are displayed(not just thrown at you).

The Nest is a good place to go with a small group. There are endless options to choose from and most of the food is good, not great. Atmosphere and service is usually top notch. I do really enjoy eating at this restaurant, I just haven’t found that one thing on the menu that I HAVE to order. Maybe one day I will, and then the review can be kicked up to 4 or 5 stars.

We always drive by the The Nest Café and see tons of cars parked outside the restaurant and last weekend after a successful showing at the Bartlett Apple Blossom 5k we decided to stop in. This busy restaurant is large, open, and bright. The breakfast menu had a very large selection. The food and service was very good and the portions were sizable. The prices were very reasonable. We enjoyed the family style food and atmosphere and will be back.

Was out running errands when we spotted this place. After reading the reviews here, we decided to try it. Was very disappointed. The menu had a lot of tasty-sounding options, but they didn’t live up to our expectations. My broccoli soup tasted strange and the steak wrap was just ok. My husband wasn’t very impressed with his BBQ pork sandwich, but he did like the french onion soup. The best part of the meal were the fried zucchini sticks that tasted like mozzarella sticks without cheese. Unfortunately nothing was good enough to warrant a repeat visit.

I have always loved the Nest! I’ve been coming here with the family ever since it first opened. I love the breakfast here. I usually get the Veggie omelet which is my favorite! More recently I’ve been getting the Veggie skillet which is amazing. They are great about substituting also which I love because the skillets usually come with cheese in them and I’m not big on cheese so I substitute with biscuit gravy. The staff is always very pleasant also, they treat everyone like family. So if your looking for a great breakfast visit the Nest! :) ***UPDATE02/27/2011*** I drove by there today after hearing they were supposedly closed for good, and there is a sign in the door saying they are closed for remodeling. THEYWILLBEOPENINGBACKUP. The letter said to visit them on their website for updates. . Only problem is the website is under construction also, but will be up soon. So, be patient fellow Nest lovers! They will be back! :)

My husband and I are regulars at The Nest. The food is fabulous, the service extraordinary. Gus and his staff work to put out some really creative, tasty, and affordable specials. Most importantly, we are always treated like family. If you want something that’s not on the menu, the server will work with the cooks to get you what you want. This is the main reason we’re regulars, because I have a few food allergies and have never been treated as an inconvenience to their day. The restaurant is always clean and well taken care of, which to me is a direct reflection of the respect the staff has for its customers.

We have been customers of the Nest Café for over 2 years now and it is one of our favorite places to eat. The menu selection is extensive. You can always find something you would like to eat. It is the perfect place to go when you and your spouse can’t agree where to eat. From the typical Greek dishes to Mexican tortilla wraps to good ol’ American sandwiches, this place has it all. Everything I have had there is great. We have eaten breakfast, lunch, and dinner there and we have never left hungry or disappointed. We have taken both sets of our parents there as well as grandparents. They all love the place and specifically ask to go there when they come over and we go out to eat. The service is super friendly and efficent as well too. This is a family run business, which I prefer to support over chain restaurants. We always see the same wait staff and management there when we go and they all seem to be happy to work there. It is a big place with a lot of seating so there really isn’t much of a wait during peak times. I remember going there this past Mothers day around 11AM. I think 4 of us waited 5 minutes if that. The prices are very fair for what you get. The quality of the food is very good. I would rate it a step above most typical family restaurants. You can get a complete meal with soup, entrée, and dessert for around $ 10 which is a great deal for a real home cooked meal. You can get a fried mess at a chain restaurant for the same price. I would take the Nest Café over any of those places. Give this place a try, you will like it.

I’ve tried it twice. Once with the kids, it was just ok. The boys get the chocolate chip pancakes, the chocolate was kinda burnt. I think expensive for what you get. The second time was just the 2 of us. We thought it would be a better experience but alas no. The service was poor the food was not how we ordered it. It was also way to hot inside. We will not go back again.

We love this place! Breakfast — it’s great because they have TONS of seating, which means on a busy Saturday or Sunday morning you don’t have to wait forever for a table. We’ve only had to wait for a table once in two years and the wait was just 10 minutes. They also have a flavored coffee of the month if you prefer that over regular coffee. The portions are HUGE, too. One skillet breakfast from here is typically two to three servings for me :-)(two for my husband) Lunch/Dinner– I’ve never had anything that wasn’t delish here. The best part is if you get a sandwich you can choose what kind of side you want so instead of boring french fries you can get fried zucchini sticks or potato skins, etc. Service — never had a bad server yet! Everyone is attentive and the food comes quick.

Very good family restaurant. Tons of choices on the menu from salads, wraps and burgers to steaks. I tend to stick to the more casual items and everything has been good. Especially good for breakfast. Generous portions too.

A good family-style restaurant with a large menu. When I’m craving a breakfast burrito(at night versus in the morning for breakfast) I head over to The Nest Café. Their breakfast burrito is made with scrambled eggs, green peppers, onions and cheddar cheese. I usually ask them to add avocado(extra charge) and a side of salsa. They will also substitute fruit for the hash browns if I ask. I’ve eaten a few other breakfast and dinner entrees, all pretty good. Service is friendly and accommodating. No complaints. Nest Café is a good local restaurant where I’ve seen everything from families, extended families, small business luncheons, singles, couples, young adults, elderly folks, and even the Red Hat Club ladies stopping in before or after a big night out! Nest Café is good for everyone. Note: The location on Google maps looks incorrect. The restaurant is NORTH of Stearns Road on the west side of Route 59(aka Sutton Road) across from Blockbuster Video.
