Served out of a small home on East Main Street, this is a delightful«homey» tea room with four tables for four. Reservations are important. You can schedule«high tea» which includes one of the house made teas, and courses of scones, soup, tea sandwiches, dessert. The flavors are more«homey» than gourmet. Rather than highly seasoned, they are gently tasteful. This actually allows one to enjoy the subtle nuances of the tea. We began with date/nut scones and homemade clotted cream. Our next course was loaded potoato soup(very creamy!). Then she came out with a three tiered tray of tea sandwiches and desserts for two. We enjoyed roast beef & cuke roll-ups on tomato basil wraps, chicken salad with almonds and grapes on white bread, mango strawberry puffs and rich brownie bites There is a regular menu. She has a $ 5 Wednesday special of sandwich, chips & drinks so does not recommend high tea on this day. She sells her teas and coffees«whole»(loose leaf). She has a massage & meal special for $ 20(attached to a chiropractor’s office). Hand or chair massage I think. This was a nice local find! Plan on high tea taking about 90 minutes start to finish.
