El Ranchito Jalisco

Not sure what Nicolas L was expecting… But «average Mexican»? Really? If you’re in Mexico then maybe you can say something, but this place is awesome. The food is always hot and fresh tasting. You wont be disappointed, just come try for yourself.

El Ranchito Jalisco serves average quality Mexican dishes. The main reason to visit is for its cheap lunch specials. I recently tried the Enchiladas Rancheras. The enchiladas were ok but were missing the flavor that you would expect from traditional Mexican dishes. The topping of lettuce and tomato was not very fresh and slightly wilted. The complimentary Chips and Salsa were by far the best part of the meal. The salsa itself was very flavorful and addictive. Overall, the saving grace for this restaurant is its cheap lunch specials and salsa.

Average Mexican food in a pleasantly decorated restaurant. If you’re looking for authentic this is not the place to go. Typical portion size and the staff are nice.

I hate to give a Mexican restaurant a bad review, but I also hate to pay for bad food.
This place was terrible. Not just because I am Mexican, grew up on Mexican food, and fly Mama Cora in from Phoenix with a bag full of green chile to cook for me once a year. This place was just not good eats.
I got the beef tacos. The tortillas were good, but had been prefried, the rice was passable, better than most. The beans were fresh, but had been refried with milk… they were pale and had no flavor. The chips were good, but who goes to a Mexican restaurant for chips alone.
My boyfriend’s chile relleno was eh… the enchilada sauce was thick and tasted old.
I think this kind of Mexican food is passable in Florida because we don’t have much to choose from, but that’s a shame.

Great prices. Love the food and you can actually taste the alcohol in the mix dreams which I love. Other places don’t have enough :)
