KFC

I hadn’t been in a KFC in about 10 years. I’ve never been a huge fan but I kept hearing about how things were improving. Wrong.
Actually things may be getting worse.
Let me first say though that the people who work here are really nice. They can only do so much though. Corporate is responsible for the crappy food.
I swear the mashed potatoes were instant. They were that bad.
I got the grilled chicken This chicken had to be on some serious medication. They probably pumped this chicken full of growth hormones and who knows what else. There was no taste of chicken. At least not the sort of chickens I get at Publix. And they’re nothing special.
Even the biscut and the cookie sucked.
If you see a KFC just keep driving. It may be another decade before I try one again. Ok, maybe never.

I guess I’m on a rampage against fast food joints. I was zipping through this KFC for something fast and cheap. Got lucky on the fast being the only one at the drive-​thru at 6:30 pm. So – after listening to the long spiel of taped «would I like to try message», then a human «did I want sides with that», «did I want dessert with that»…don’t they know I want what I want so don’t start out by asking me if I want something else and don’t try to pad me with other stuff. It’s a turn-​off. So was fed up rather quickly.
Second, I feel duped. their large sign «5 hot & spicy wings $ 3» LOOKS like boneless wings and is next to a sign for boneless. So imagine my surprise when I have to drive and nibble around a bone five times. I did find the «hot» just right and a great crunch. It could’ve been hotter.
My last pet peeve is the return of change with bills placed in the hand first and coins placed to slide around on top of them. To me, it’s an IQ test – i can predict whether a clerk is going to remain in an entry level position for a long, long time, simply by whether I am given the change first, thus to manage the money return more easily.
This place does not deserve my repeat visits but it is not yet on a Nix List when I have a hankering for the Colonel.
