O2 Sport

Wow, what a great experience! After years of suffering through lousy help and the bad attitude of the owner of Go Soccer, no help or knowledge from the high school kids working at Model’s and limited selection at other stores, we went to O2 sports.
The owner helped my daughter find the perfect soccer shoes — very knowledgeable, not pushy about getting us to buy more expensive shoes and, on the way out, handed my daughter the item she was looking at as a birthday present!
This simply could not have been any better.

I always though it was a bit odd that my daughter’s field hockey coach made us come all the down to Basking Ridge for their uniforms and he had great recommendations to buy other gear here as well. Then, a few weeks ago I came down with her to buy new turf shoes and walked through the door the first time.
This place is great. I’ve always been a big proponent of supporting local businesses and this is why. The guy who was working here on this sunny Saturday (owner perhaps) was so helpful and talked us through the different kinds of turf shoes, how they should fit, styles, etc and talked to my daughter as much as to me… he treated her, the field hockey player, like his customer instead of her Dad, the field hockey watcher. I was impressed. As he worked through finishing up with her I was able to wander around the store (it’s a small place) and saw that he had (or could get) pretty much whatever clothing, shoes or equipment you needed for soccer or field hockey. The only thing I didn’t see was the brand of stick my daughter uses, but that’s ok, we have another great local business owner for that.
I was really impressed with O2 Sports and would recommend them to anyone in need of soccer or field hockey clothing, footwear or equipment.

What a fantastic place!
My daughter needed a field hockey stick and we could not find any good places on Long Island to try the sticks out. My sister-​in-​law from NJ suggested O2. Was she ever right! Make an appointment with Hamid, one of the owners, and he will take A LOT of time to make sure you get the stick that is right for you. He even took my daughter outside to try a few of the sticks out. Not only did my daughter get the right stick, but she also got a mini training session.
O2 takes customer service beyond anything I’ve experienced in years.
