This is a very customer oriented bank. I know if I have a problem I can call or walk into the bank and get help. They care about the customer. As I travel, I notify them of my trips and then am able to use my anytime card or debit card in the country(ies) where I am. You can even talk with the bank president if you want.

I do not recommend First National for conventional mortgage lending. I had a difficult time getting the loan to close, as they were not able to deliver what was discussed from day one. Communication was difficult & the loan officer was not efficient. For Portfolio Loans, so far so good. The VP Clay Ingram is the best resource there, & the person with whom you should work if you’re trying to buy property.

The main branch on Highway 71 is always friendly and helpful. Donna got me all new bills for a trip to Europe that saved me lots of problems. It is old fashioned personal service that is very appreciated.

So my husband and I decided it’s time to start looking to but a house and need a loan, and yes we’re qualified for a loan, so this rating is not based on qualifying for a loan. However this bank could care less about helping you. The lady at the first desk was marginally friendly, who sent us to the next desk who was slightly more friendly, who sent us to the NEXT desk who was ok friendly. The last desk was still not really trying to be helpful or actually get us a loan. Call me crazy but I have no desire to do business with someone who could care less or actually want to help me. So we went across the parking lot, yea literally turned the car around, and went to that bank which was great and very helpful!
