I’m not an auction expert, but I like this place. It’s in Batavia, just off 32, about 10 – 15 minutes from 275. The auctions are typically made up of estate items, but the occasional business, liquidation sale pops up from time to time. I usually visit the Saturday evening auctions, and depending on the time of year, the crowds will vary. This isn’t the place to buy fine arts, war memorabilia, and world artifacts. These auctions are for the items grandma and grandpa left behind that the kids didn’t claim as family heirlooms. There is usually decent furniture, tools, and antiques. Expect to pay higher prices at the first auction on the month(as the crowd recently received their pay checks/government checks) There are snacks, nachos, hot dogs, and drinks, but you need cash for these. You can pay for you haul with credit card, but expect to pay an extra 3%. The auctioneer keeps a great pace, and has a great personality making the time go by quickly. It’s not a bad way to spend a Saturday evening, especially if you love searching for a bargain. Check their website for auction times. It’s easy to navigate and includes pictures of upcoming items.
