Koolatron Review Koolatron P-85 is not worth spending your money on! We purchased a new unit in January and put it into service in April and by July it was no longer working. Supposed 1 year warranty for replacement requires you to ship back the defective unit at your expense. No big deal you say… UPS charge was going to be $ 80 and U.S. Postal Service charge was going to be $ 123.86. Both of these options are more than half the cost of the“lemon” cooler we paid our hard earned cash for. When asking if there was an alternative to shipping the defective unit the Corporate response was: «Unfortunately we cannot replace the cooler within the 1 year warranty period unless it is received at our U. S warehouse with require paperwork. «. I am tempted to smash the cooler into pieces so that it can be shipped in a smaller container and thereby saving on shipping costs. Four month periodic use for $ 170 is outrageous. And the one year warranty offered is not worth the paper it’s printed on unless you like paying more in shipping than the product actually costs. I recommend you skip the Koolatron Section altogether and head on over the either the Igloo or Yeti sections. Unsatisfied Consumer!
