Great food and cozy atmosphere. Love the live music. Nice place for lunch or dinner. Summertime they have Tuesday night all you can eat specials which are great! We have been there many times and have always had good service, good food and good time! Great place for a casual lunch or a business lunch. I recommend this place to everyone visiting Batavia.

Why this place isn’t near the top of the list on Unilocal is beyond me… I stopped in here to eat while on my way to a meeting and had the blue cheese burger with potato skins. The burger was cooked to perfection and the potato skins seasoned to perfection. I suspect you would have a hard time finding a bad thing on the menu. The is clean top to bottom. The wooden interior dominates the bar in a nice way only to be accentuated by the plethera of memorbilia mounted everywhere. While your in a pleasant conversation with the friendly locals, you can faintly hear the Irish music playing in the background. It’s an atmosphere that makes you want to come back, so after my meeting, I did and had the opportunity to sample the nice variety of ice-cold local beers on tap. In addition to the local beer, they also a variety of the national brands. And yes, they have Guinness on tap. It wouldn’t be an Irish bar without it. I hear there’s also a casino in town, but truth be told, I’ll take this over the casino any day of the week. I will be back next time I’m in the area

Talk about a hidden gem! A cool little Irish pub on a quiet street off of the beaten path. Irish music playing, a great, friendly bartender, and unbelievable food. They have this Irish stew(depending on the day it is either lamb, beef or Guinness), that is absolutely delicious. It comes with two slices of freshly baked rye bread, Can you guess the price? Would you believe $ 7.49? Really good selection of draft beer, and the best homemade potato chips I have ever had.(Those are $ 3.50 for a huge basket). I might make the 5 hour drive for another bowl of that stew.

Have stopped here a couple of times while in the area Had lunch there yesterday. Good food. Have had the Beef on Weck, and home made soups. Only complaint is the owner/waitress. She could be a little more friendly. Very Rude. Too Bad. Probably having a bad day. Customers notice. I would give it 3 stars for food and 1 for attitude.

Laid back Irish pub and restaurant. Outdoor seating available with your choice of shaded or sunny area. I had the turkey Reuben — it was good, but not the best I have had. Friendly staff.

A weird bar in batavia. It’s almost always bustling and they have pretty good food. Not a bad place to hangout and they do have outdoor seating.

Last night was my first time her… It was amazing! Tonight… Even better Last night I had the Shepard’s Pie. It was a religious experience. Tonight, I had the Reuben. It was with out a doubt The Best Reuben Sandwich I have had in my life. And I’ve had quite a few Reubens in my 46 years as a Mick

It’s a local irish bar… The locals love it, because it’s in a small town. It has some style that is all it’s own, and is fun. the vibe there is always upbeat, the crowd is fun, and they have a few menu items that are uniquely their own. Always a good time, relaxed, always a good crowd, commonly mixed ages. They often have music groups, but to see an irish folk band there is not uncommon. Been there a half dozen times or so.

Overview: Typical Irish dive bar. Nothing special but considering the limited options in Batavia it was pretty good. Drinks: My girlfriend tried the snake bite(Guinness & Woodchuck) and a bass beer. I got the perfect pour Guinness and an Irish coffee. The drinks were good and around 6 dollars. Food: The sandwiches and burgers were pretty good. I got the o’lacy burger as the additional toppings sounded good, however I found having two patties to be quite excessive and difficult to eat. The«famous» chips were just okay. Don’t get the red velvet cake… It was not very good. Décor: Typical Irish pub blanketed in eclectic knickknacks. There is a covered outdoor patio which was very nice. Service: Very attentive servers and a jolly bartender. Though I was a bit confused how the staff didn’t know any taxi numbers.

Food is really good and the ambiance is awesome. You can get away and feel really relaxed while here. Homemade chips are the best and the Uncle Louie is a favorite. Especially fun to go to in the summer Good to take some coworkers to after work at the office.

Great bar for drinking, eating, and socializing. My favorite bar in Batavia by far. They have reasonable and quality food as well as a wide selection of beers and spirits. The bar tenders know how to mix a drink unlike many of the other bars in the area. Highly recommended for locals or visitors.

Professional staff & a good draught selection. It might be a lot of people’s favorite bar in Batavia but I’m pretty sure that’s because it’s got the ring & hook game on the patio. I like this spot.

My favorite bar in Batavia! This cozy little pub was the first place my now husband took me when we started dating. The drafts are awesome. I recommend the Snakebite — Woodchuck Cider and Guinness… by the way they have the BEST Guinness! They used to have the best draft Blue Moon but unfortunately they stopped selling it. The food is great… homemade chips with a Riviera type dip, the beef on weck, the Uncle Tom, they are all good. I am partial to the Dooley Basket which includes sliced grilled chicken breast on top of homemade chips. Intimate atmosphere, the bartenders and servers are always welcoming and treat you like your are on Cheers where everyone knows your name! This place will always have a special place in my heart and I recommend it to anyone and everyone!

Sure, it’s an Irish pub, so you certainly have an idea what you will get. And you do: the décor, etc, etc. However, it’s important to note that the food really can be excellent. I found myself in Batavia two weeks in a row, and the first time I went to O’Lacy’s was with some local friends. The meal was so good that I went back the next week, too, forsaking more ‘fancy’ type places. What drew me back was the Reuben: I understand they cure their own corned beef, and the sauerkraut is home-made as well. It was far and away the most flavorful Reuben I have ever had. They also have their own home-made potato chips, which are nice, served with their own vinaigrette type dip. So, on the basis of my good experience w/the Reuben, I thought to try another sandwich. The grilled chicken sandwich w/blackening seasoning was good, but not nearly as special as the Reuben. Still, reasonably priced for lunch/dinner with a beer, so you can’t turn it down.

O’Lacy’s is my favorite Irish pub in Western NY. Walk inside and you’ll immediately be transported to any one of the small pubs dotting the Irish countryside. At these magnificent places, the stew is warm, the Guinness is fresh and the craic is infectious. O’Lacys on a good day is all of these things. Ok, so their fish and chips aren’t served with French fries, just home made potato«crisps,» but their food is generally good, especially the stew. Most of all, they pull a fine Guinness and they are supportive of traditional musicians. Try to find out when a session is going on — that atmosphere is hard to find and can’t be beat.
