This is our bi weekly Friday night dinner. The subs are amazing, we have had almost every sub listed on the menu. My favorite is the Roman and my husband loves the nuclear– super hot. My kids always get the pizza sub. Don’t forget to try the desserts. The mini cannoli are always a huge hit. The only draw back is parking. Located on rt63 the traffic can be super busy pull down the side street to park.

Delicious subs and sides(deli style). I love that they have egg salad! Best subs in Batavia by far!

There’s almost nothing in the middle of nowhere, NY and thanks to Unilocal I found this deli. It is embedded inside a convenience store and staffed by some friendly women. they were patient while I stood there figuring out what I wanted on my sub. I settled for a nuclear(which wasn’t very nuclear at all) came on a very soft roll, with the meat sliced extremely thin, making every bite perfect. I think there was an extra charge for olives and oil which I think is weird, but hey… my sub was super delicious.

Stopped in for a quick sandwich Saturday at 11:00AM and the place was busy. I had a small Royal and the Mrs. went with turkey. The meat is sliced fresh and everything was great. Ended sharing a canoli and at $ 1.15 well worth it. Only complaint is its all carry out!

This is one of the few places in Batavia that I choose to revisit time and time again, the workers are friendly, extremely quick and very efficient. It’s usually busy but absolutely worth it every time. The nuclear sub is my personal favorite!

Every now and then, I’ll grab an order of a large sub. The price is reasonable, and it usually ends up being lunch/dinner. Lots of meat, and delicious. I think the only downside is when I call in an order vs. coming in and ordering. When I call in an order from work and have to go pick it up during my lunch hour, I’m told it will take 20 minutes. I’ll wait 30 minutes before driving over and every single time, it wasn’t made yet and I end up waiting as long as ten minutes. However, if I walk in and place an order, it’s done right right away. So, I just end up not ordering over the phone any more. :)

Best Subs I have found anywhere near Batavia !! Nuclear was freakin Great !! Steak & Cheese was good, good Steak ‚& plenty of it. I guess my only complaint would be that the roll did get a little soggy, So, I will suggest if you order a hot sub with oil, ask them to toast the roll well. Other than that, 2 thumbs up, This place is Great !! Keep in mind this is a Deli, & not a restaurant. I didn’t see any seating in there, So, if you go, plan on taking your order to go.

My girlfriend tends to be very private when we’re in public, but as soon as we’re in private, she’s all about letting me do whatever I want to her southside. So there you go. Now you know. TMI. This sandwich shop is not named after her southside though, it’s named after the owners’ southside. Which is significantly more hairy than my girlfriend’s. So. Yeah. I came here because it has stratospheric ratings from everyone and their dog. Especially the dogs, who apparently love lunch meat. It’s very highly rated. I’m not going to say I adored it or it rocked my world, because it didn’t, but I will say that they make a very good sandwich. My travelling companion enjoyed it more than I did. We got the recommended Nuclear Sub, which wasn’t as fiery or Nuclear as I’d have liked it to be, but was extremely tasty and enjoyable. Yes it really was just lunch meat, cheese, condiments and bread with a fiery kick, but everything was top quality and enjoyable, and as you can see from the main picture of this business… my little adorable baby girl kitten Starlight loved it. In fact she loved it so much that right after the photo was taken she started licking her own southside, in tribute, I’m assuming.

I was stuck in Batavia overnight on business. I found this place on Unilocal.Ordered the hot grilled roast beef sandwhich. It was just about the best sandwhich I ever tasted. That’s probably why their was a constant stream of customers in and out of this place even at 8PM on a Thursday. Great subs.

The taste of New York City in the upper state smalltown of Batavia. The Ruben sandwich is authentic, drippy & delicious. The pastrami sandwich is as good as you’ll get in New York City. Service is always fast, efficient & outstandingly friendly!

Decent food is a rare bird in Batavia, and Southside deli goes beyond decent with the quality of their subs! Perhaps it’s the fact that I am a born and bred Buffalonian, but I can be quite critical and I know good food. The subs at Southside deli are AMAZING! They offer your typical sub offerings but in addition to the usual, they also have some true Italian offerings. On my last visit here, we got Italian Assorted subs for everyone, which consist of Genoa Salami, Capicola, Prosciutto and Provolone. They were toasted to perfection and had quite a good deal of meat on them considering the price of $ 7.20 for a large sub. It was plenty for dinner and then lunch the next day. We also got a Nuclear sub for everyone to share and try. If you like a good kick, this is definitely the sub for you! The Nuclear had prosciutto, capicola, Genoa Salami, Hot Pepper cheese and Hot pepper salad. It certainly held some heat! I would strongly recommend Southside deli if you’re looking for some good eats in the Batavia area. While you’re there, be sure to pick up a deli pickle and some cheese cannoli as well(they have a whole slew of Italian deserts)…you won’t be disappointed!
