Such a good sushi place. My boyfriend had the hibachi and he loved it as well. Not only was the food great, but the drinks were tasty as well. And don’t forget to have the fried ice cream for dessert!

Wow! Our first time here was a pleasure indeed! We sat at the sushi bar. You can watch the skill and pride they take to make your sushi. Fresh sushi and impressive presentation. We will be back!

Never disappointed here. Amazing presentation and is nicely decorated, even though it looks unassuming from the outside. Fast friendly service. Some of the sushi specialty rolls are a bit overpriced. But there’s a great selection of Japanese/​Asian food to choose from for those who don’t like sushi. Try the Bento box for lunch! Also love the choice of white or brown rice.

It is very nice to have a different type of restaurant open in Batavia. Our group was interested in a trying a number of things but didn’t want to choose the family special/​boat they offer. We picked 6 different specialty rolls and our server had them put it on a boat anyways. Excellent presentation, quality, and service. Prices are reasonable.

It is so nice to have some diversity in Batavia. Have eaten here several times. Food has always been delicious, I recommend the coconut shrimp bento box.

I had been wanting to try this place and on Sunday 3÷13÷16 I stopped for take out. I ordered the Gen Tso’s chicken which came with Miso soup and rice; Yaki Udon noodles with shrimp. I was not disappointed. The take out was fast about 15 minutes. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. I will definitely go back again to try it as a sit down.

Very thankful to have a decent sushi place in Batavia. As far as I know, there is nothing else similar close by. The quality and presentation of their sushi is great. I brought my dad here who previously thought he hated sushi… and he enjoyed it!
Other dishes (Noodles, chicken, soups) are good as well, but the sushi is definitely why I come here.
Atmosphere is beautiful and elegant — not necessarily what you would expect looking at the restaurant from the outside. Take a step in!

A great Japanese restaurant in the middle of buffalo and Rochester.
Come here for the lunch special which runs until 3pm.
Their sushi dishes and noddles are recommended here.
I have been on a soup bing and noticed their Tom Kha Guy soups is laking coconut flavoring and lemon grass shoots.
Other than that this place has authentic tasting food, atmosphere and traditional service.

I’m very happy to see this place open up in Batavia. Asian cuisine is everywhere, which makes finding the good ones like Yume that much more difficult. The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere with many unique details placed around. The miso soup was bland. However, the sushi rolls and entrees that we all had were increíble! It was flavorful and msg free! The waitress was also wonderful and knowledgeable about the menu.

Always a great restaurant with very friendly servers and management. Food is exceptional and there’s something on the menu for everyone! I always get the tofu hibachi meal with seasoned noodles and miso soup, and tempura vegetables as an appetizer. You can’t go wrong with this place.

We stopped here on our way back to Boston and were so impressed by the quality and the price!!!
Compared to Boston the food is super cheap and it tasted amazing! We ate Hibachi (highly recommendable … Especially the tofu one) and red curry with chicken (also really good). All meals came with a miso soup as a starter (choice between soup and salat) which was so tasty and just the best thing on a cold winter day!!!
If I would live in the region I’d come here at least once a week!!!

Yummy sushi and outstanding presentation. Sesame chicken was a bit sweet but the white tiger roll was fresh and delicious. Portions are huge for a sushi place. Good value for sure.

Pretty good! Had then Bento box for lunch and added an extra roll (spicy tuna) which I didn’t need, Bento was more than filling. The rice was nice and sticky, and the temperature of the sushi was all good which makes or breaks a good sushi for me. The ambience was nice and the service was OK. A good solid choice if you are in the area looking for sushi.

As a frequent business traveler, I eat out a lot, in many small towns. I had two meals at Yume while visiting Batavia on business a few weeks ago; and have no problem recommending this restaurant. The service was great, the owner was on site and seemed ready to please. The Sushi roll’s I sampled were both very good. I stayed w/​the sushi mainstays of tuna and salmon; but these fish were fresh, and the rolls themselves were excellent. If you find yourself in Batavia and feel like something a little different than burgers and the local steak joint, you won’t be disappointed.

The location is strange, but once you go inside you forget you’re across from Walmart. It’s got almost a club vibe inside. A nice bar, great deals on lunch, and the food is tasty.

We are in the area on a business travel with my coworker so we weren’t sure what this restaurant will be like. You could not guess by the outside of the restaurant that it looks so elegant and sophisticated on the inside. The décor is very high class. I almost felt bad that my husband can’t be there with me and instead it is my (male) coworker — sorry Charles ;-).
And the food is not dissapointing — it is absolutely delicious. The staff is very nice and welcoming as well. I regret that we didn’t find this place the first day of our trip.

I found everything here to be very expensive for what it was. The space itself is nice, but very dark! And the service is very eager, which was annoying.
I ordered the sushi bento box lunch. It was $ 10. I got a salmon avocado roll for $ 5.25 too. The miso soup starter was decent, typical of any Japanese place. The bento box was meh. First, the soy sauce tastes weird. Almost has a burnt flavor. Yuck. The sushi pieces were small and only okay quality. The rice and rolls just fell apart. Not sticky enough. My salmon avocado roll came out in 6 very small pieces. 6. Small. Pieces. For $ 5.25. No.
I would not eat here again, considering that I can get much better quality and quantity sushi even in Buffalo! I was just so charmed by the fact that Batavia now has a Japanese/​sushi restaurant, and I just HAD to try! D’oh! But it’s so terribly over priced and not that great. Even for Batavia.
Pass on this place, unless it’s your only choice.

We ate at the bar. The bartender was very nice and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. She made me an Asian Cherry Bomb which was like drinking cherry pop except it contained alcohol.
One of the specials were live scallops. The chef opened the scallops, threw some julienned cucumbers under them and served them right away. They came with a sauce a well. They were slimy but tasted like a regular scallop.
I had the avocado salad, which was quite spicy! I split the soft shell crab tempura with my date and it was alright. It basically the kind you would find at any Japanese restaurant.
Their rolls are the prettiest of anywhere. The presentation was beautiful.
