Enjoyed a delicious Saturday morning breakfast here with no wait for seating. Service was a bit slow, but we weren’t in a hurry. My omelet was filling and delicious. Loved the Hubbard & Cravens coffee and commitment to local sourcing! This place is a hidden gem in Batesville.

Went to lunch with mom and dad. The waitress was nice enough and kept our water glasses filled. However it took forever to get our food. We waited over thirty minutes. And the. Our waitress only checked on us once so it took too long to get the check. Probably won’t visit again due to long waits.

Well… I mean ugh. I struggle giving the place 3 stars. It was a little difficult to find and is located in the first floor of a retirement community. No knocks there as it is very nice inside. What I did have an issue with was they had a MASSIVE selection of burgers… I want to say over 30 options. So when Ryan(the burger master connoisseur) sees this I get a little excited and want to start jumping for joy! I was there for a business meeting so I kept my cool. The burger was meh… Frozen patty and really nothing to it. I was super not impressed. Maybe I ordered the 1 burger out of the 30+ that wasn’t a hit. If I am ever in the area again I might give it another shot but for now we will keep it at 3 stars.

A decent place in Batesville but didn’t really stand out. The menu had some creativity with some good sounding salads. I had the Beef and Horsey sandwich and enjoyed it, although the horseradish sauce was a bit overpowering. Part of the low rating for this place comes from the location. You have to walk through an assisted living center to get to it. The other issue I had was the service. Despite arriving at 12:30, we had to specifically ask for a lunch menu. And even though it was mostly empty. Our food took a very long time to arrive. Overall, this place was fine but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone passing through Batesville.

Proof positive that the right companions can make any dining experience more palatable. My friends and I stopped in for what we hoped would be a quick lunch but ended up taking over to an hour due to service issues. Normally a perfectly acceptable amount of time to spend on a meal but a long time to wait for two roast beef sandwiches, a cup of soup, and salad. I had one of the roast beef sandwiches(roast beef, horseradish sauce, caramelized onions of a pretzel roll served with wedge fries and au jus) and it was fine, if not as hot or delicious as I was hoping. My wife seemed to enjoy her salad but not enough to redeem a thoroughly ho-hum experience. If you’re already there and reading reviews for recommendations, I can say I enjoyed my Meyer lemon lemonade much more than I was expecting.

Freaking great food! Went there two times. Because the first was so good. First meal, I had a Hugh burger. Loaded with everything, but the quality of the meat, texture and taste were the best. Fries were also good. Wife had a French dip sandwich. Outstanding meat, big tender tasty bread and good dipping juice. The bun on this sandwich was a pretzel bun… yum yum. Next day for breakfast, I had a burrito with side of fresh fruit. Very good filling and home made salsa. This is not store bought crap. Wife ordered steak and two eggs. It came with a small t-bone steak, home made hash browns, cream spinach and two fresh eggs. All were outstanding. We were there with a friend who has to eat gluten free for her health. His place respects the choice, goes above and beyond and does a great job. She really enjoyed both her meals and commented how nice it was he carried gluten free rolls. The guy running the Big 4 name is Adam. Great job Adam, thanks!

Always friendly, always relaxed! The service is only exceeded by the quality of the cuisine.

Hard to find but worth the effort. Very small sign located with others at the beginning of S depot street. Take your time and look for it. The entrance is toward the far end of the street on the right under the overhead walkway. Our group ordered the hungry man plates and the oatmeal. Both were very good and did not leave you hungry. Service was a just a little slower than I would like but was good. TV’s were tuned to sports channels. In the afternoons and evenings that would be good but first thing in the morning it did not suit me to watch UFC matches and baseball highlights. I’d rather see the news or weather.

They offer 36 burgers and are home to the 15 egg Omelette Challenge if it hasn’t been on food channel yet it should be! With this in mind we decided to check it out… Meanwhile we were sacrificing our foodie tendencies for what we thought would be a tourist’s hurrah. We were delightfully surprised. It was quant and friendly with a helpful staff. Everyone in the restaurant seemed to be smiling which was a shock probably since we had just toured Detroit and Cincinnati. They offer gluten free options and the quality of food for a small town restaurant is high.

Great place! We stopped here on a road trip thanks to Unilocal– weren’t sure we could find anything on the stretch between Cincinnati and Indianapolis. It was worth the drive off the interstate. The location is a bit different(in the back of a larger building) but the seating area was nice. The menu is huge –lots of options and everything we ordered(burgers, an omelette, and eggs) was pretty good and came out quickly.

Just happened to be in town and decided to give this place a visit. Awesome breakfast! Great, local fare, well done! I had the biscuits and gravy with Parmesan hash-browns and bacon. First off, the biscuits were real biscuits — thick, fluffy, with a nice crispy edge! Gravy was rich and flavorful. Hashbrowns were unlike any others I’ve ever tried — they were wide strips, cut really thin and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. Awesome! And the bacon was perfectly done — not too crispy or soft! Just right all the way around. Bravo, guys. Bravo! If I ever find myself in Batesville again, I will definitely come back!

Stopped in for lunch on a rainy Tuesday to discover this hidden gem. The interior is well-appointed, though understated, and much larger than you might expect from the café moniker and side street entrance. The food is excellent! At our table we ordered the caribbean jerk chicken gyro, the spinach and chicken alfredo penne, and the quesadilla burger(one of about 30 on the separate burger menu). Having sampled all three, each was enjoyable in its own way with perfectly balanced flavors. The price, though slightly higher than other local lunch options, is a very fair value given the portion size, quality fresh ingredients, and included side salad, soup, or fries. We will definitely be back for more!

A little hard to find… but an amazing dining experience! We stopped for Sunday breakfast and was delighted with everything about the place. The food was excellent… great breakfast. About 30 different gourmet burgers on the chalkboard wall menu. I can’t wait to try some! Prices were extremely reasonable considering the quality of the food. Worth the stop in my book.

Excellent quaility — perfect presentation — finally another decent place to eat dinner in Batesville — had the braised ribs! Hubby had the burger the only way it could have been better is if the burger had been char-grilled —
