I had ice cream here a couple weeks ago — a small coffee ice cream, more like a medium where I am from, with their own hot fudge for less than 4.00. Another place I hope I can return to.

Cute little ice cream shop in the heart of bath! Service is always friendly. They have a great variety of flavors and toppings. If you stop by in the fall you’ll enjoy the soups they add to their menu. Summer time? The adorable «pocket park» that recently has been placed next door is a wonderful option to enjoy that refreshing cone!

We went here looking for the delicious ice cream promised by other reviewers. Be forewarned that this place is nothing special. It simply serves Shain’s of Maine, which is okay ice cream, but not particularly rare or exciting. You can find Shain’s at a fair number of places, including some Shaw’s. I live in Maine and eat lots of ice cream and I would certainly rate Shain’s higher than Gifford’s, which you see all over the place. But it doesn’t compare to actual fresh homemade ice cream from shops like Captain Sam’s or Catbird Creamery.
So, to be clear: this is a fine ice cream shop. Young children will love it because they have all those stupid flavors like Smurf and Bubble Gum. The ice cream is not homemade or fresh. It’s just a regular ice cream shop. Don’t go out of your way to come here expecting something special.

Walked in at one minute after eight with several people still in the shop and they refused to serve us because they were closing. The advertised closing hour was ten. Very rude and unprofessional.

I enjoy ice cream but I have fallen in love with Dot’s «razzle dazzle» ice cream flavor. Rich vanilla ice cream with raspberry swirl and a generous sprinkling of tasty dark chocolate bits filled with a bright raspberry filling… that actually tastes like raspberries! A kiddie portion served up in one of their homemade cones has been the perfect way to wrap up everyday of our stay.
We are already looking forward to our next visit to Bath!

Truly in Love with Dot’s! Go Here, you won’t regret it! They have a ton of amazing and unique ice cream flavors like Maine Wild Blueberry, Mocha Crunch with Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans in the Ice Cream, it was to-​die-​for. Or Tornado which is M&M’s, Brownies, Heath Bar, and delicious! You can choose more than one flavor and they provide samples. The portions are huge! Nothing but Happy after going to Dot’s!

Here’s how amazing Dots is: I live in Texas, I’ve been back in Texas for weeks, and i’m talking about this ice cream place with friends as though I could go back tomorrow (I cannot). I’ve never had anything like the chocolate chip cookie dough at Dots. 70% cookie dough and the rest ice cream. Not sure it’s even legal because it’s made out of dreams and happiness. Go get it.

We stopped in here for a «snack» while exploring the pretty town of Bath. Our kids had ice cream and we couldn’t help ourselves – It was our first day back in Maine so we had to try the lobster rolls. Wow! So full of flavor and generous portions of lobster. The bun was toasted and buttered to perfection. My husband spent the rest of the week comparing lobster rolls but this one couldn’t be beat! ***** Five stars for the lobster roll! Oh and the ice cream and service was good too :)

I stopped by after dinner with my family, I recommend you do the same! The people who work there are patient and nice and the ice cream is good– but then again, when isn’t ice cream good?

My daughter loved the «Confusion» flavor, but says it should be named «Indecision» because it has everything in it. I had the Ginger ice cream with the Salt Caramel. I liked both a lot. My wife had the Blueberry and said it was really, really good.

Was excited to find this great ice cream parlor on a family vacation. Friendly staff, and the ice cream was wonderful. Try the «confusion» flavor – chocolate, cookie dough, peanut butter, nuts, and wonderful other ingredients all mixed into one ice cream! Plus they make mud sundaes, a fun childhood throwback!
