My boyfriend and I were exhausted from the week of Thanksgiving and wanted to escape to some peace and warmth. We decided to stay in the Captain’s Cabin, which has both a jetted jacuzzi tub for two and a wood burning fireplace. After we got there, did not want to leave. The house smells like Christmas and Elizabeth was just the nicest. Our room was a few steps down to the basement, but it did not feel like a basement at all. It really did feel like you were entering a Captain’s Cabin. And after dinner, my boyfriend and I rushed back to start up the fire and jump in the tub. The fire made the room nice and toasty and the room was filled with this amazing aroma of burning wood. We just soaked in the tub and took it all in. Breakfast was very yummy. Started off with some fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, and coffee. Then came Elizabeth with a delicious quiche! And as I ate my delicious breakfast in the sweetly decorated dining room, I grew very sad. My stay was almost coming to an end. Sigh. Definitely going to make another visit up to the Inn at Bath.
