I live 5 minutes from this place so it’s what I would consider my home course. I haven’t played at many places in the Lehigh Valley but it’s one of my favorites. Pretty wide fairways and not too many hills. Probably a decent course for starters or young people or ladies. Not many water hazards. Good driving range and bar/restaurant.

We consistently visit this course at least twice a month. It’s a nice little find, it’s well maintained, challenging and I found the staff to be friendly. We haven’t had any issues, I believe if you are there to play and know how to play the Marshalls will leave you be. We have golfed at other local courses and Southmoore is personally my favorite. Also if you are hungry, visit the Italian restaurant on site. We enjoy the owners, warm people.

Course is laid out nicely. I have been crushing the ball lately so the par 4’s and 5’s play short. The par 3’s seem too long though. They make it a challenge. Some holes had the ladies and senior tees with the whites, so I assume some boxes were being re-sodded. Playing from the whites I would either use a driver or 3 wood and then leave myself a 7 wood or 5 wood to the green on the par 5’s. Problem I had was that it was leaving me with an approach shot that was between a lob wedge or pitching wedge. I could have left 3,4,5,6,7 irons at home and played. What turns me off are the marshalls. I understand that they need to push play along but 6x? Our round finished in under 4 hrs and they were harassing us left and right. If I were to play there again it would have to be from the tips(pro) because even though I shoot in the high 80’s low 90’s this course was not too challenging. Riverview in Easton is much more of a challenge
