This place is super cute! The staff is friendly and so accommodating. It has a relaxed atmosphere and a very«at home» feel. We ordered the wrong food and they were happy to change it for us and didn’t even charge us for the extra cost for our mistake. Our food came out fairly quickly and was delicious. The breakfast sandwich was perfectly cooked, their homemade bread is AMAZING and the hash breakfast was awesome. I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone.

Seriously awesome corned beef hash, with choice of traditional or pastrami. Far beyond the typical offerings, all at an exceptionally fair price. Fresh tender potatoes, an overall excellent experience.

The corn beef hash was over the top! There is no reason to eat breakfast anywhere else. Homemade anadama bread to boot.

For years I’ve tried to try the Starlight Café, tucked in the basement of a building in Bath. We’d show up to find that we were there on the wrong day or the wrong hour and turn away sad. This time, we hit it right! There’s a regular menu and a specials menu. Since I’m a sucker for a specials menu, I ordered the avocado and bacon grilled sandwich which came with a side salad. My sister ordered some sort of grilled cheese and veggie sandwich, the contents of which I’ve forgotten. The subterranean ambience suits the kitschy antique store décor, with the sunshine slanting in. It’s not fancy, but it’s homey with a lot of little knick knacks to look at and maybe be nostalgic about – «Is that a Shaun Cassidy doll?» «No, I think it’s David.» The knick knacks are for sale if you feel you’ve made a connection. My sandwich was made with fresh sourdough bread and perfectly ripe avocado. The little salad(the winter salad) had mesclun greens, apple, cashews and cheddar cheese and came with a sweet, but good poppy dressing. The sandwich hit the spot and I’d get it again in a heartbeat. My sister enjoyed her sandwich, too. If I can remember what it was, I will come back and edit it in. Her iced tea came with free refills. The price was right, too, $ 20 total for our order. This is a place I would visit frequently if I lived nearby. When I get back to Bath I hope we can hit it right again.

The hubby and I stopped in here last Saturday. It is an adorable little place with the nicest staff. We both had sammys and they were fresh and delicious. I got mine on their homemade amadama bread and the sweetness of the bread really complimented the savoriness of the fillings. Great little place! Give it a try!

Holy shmokes, I wish this place was in my hometown! Everything was fantastic and the décor is eclectic and wonderful. My only qualm is the hash isn’t really hash, more chunks of corned beef and onions, but it was still quite tasty. If I’m ever in Bath again I’ll definitely be coming back.

Stopped in Bath for lunch on my way to Bar Harbor — this place was so cute! I like the vintage items displayed for sale. Lunch prices were reasonable and the cook was very honest and gave us his opinion on what cheese went best with the bread and what combinations not to order. I liked the little touches, like trivia cards on the table. I would definitely return if I ever make it to Bath again.

Starlight offers simple, satisfying sandwiches and breakfast in a casual setting. The roast beef sandwich I ordered came with a pickle and ruffle chips. For $ 8 it wasn’t bad! The interior is really cute and filled with different knickknacks and antiques. Starlight is a great place to stop by for lunch if you happen to be in the area. The molasses crinkle cookies for $ 2 were chewy at the edges and soft in the middle. Get them!

Starlight’s is a cute little sandwich place that also serves breakfast all day on the main drag of Bath. It’s on a small street that’s hidden a bit, but well worth finding if you happen to be in Bath. The décor is bright, friendly and I think they sell little knick knacks on one of the counters so you could get your antiquing on if that’s your thing. I got their version of the Reuben. Tasted good, and it came with chips. I’ve read on other reviews that they are homemade but they honestly taste like Ruffles, not that that’s a terrible thing. I also got a cracked molasses cookie that was delicious. All in all, I’d come back if I was in the area. It’s definitely a good thing when you see quite a few locals/regulars streaming through so hopefully go when it’s busy and their griddle is hot.

Wow! You could almost walk past this place, but I’m so glad we didn’t! I had a Thanksgiving sandwich which was absolutely amazing. It was almost as big as the Thanksgiving meal in November. This is a quaint little dive that will make your heart as happy as your belly. Be prepared to bus your own table, but what they say and help you gain in delicious food.

Enjoyed a terrific grilled steak sandwich and homemade potato chips, my wife and daughter loved the tuna and avocado wrap and chili. Super friendly service, quaint décor, and side street parking just off Front Street in Bath. Visited 3 times over the past year, would definitely visit again.

After 3 years, I returned to Bath(husband biz trip excursion) & once again visited Starlight Café. Knocked it out of the park again & this time I brought back take out for picky husband who said his spicy roast beef sandwich was the BEST ever — We are former restaurant folk & it takes a lot to make us swoon. My «Build your own — Turkey– sandwich & garden salad with sweet oregano dressing was spot on wonderful. Cup of tomato basil soup & cornbread were shared & delish. Oh wait there’s more, my wh chocolate & raspberry scone & the date oat scone were supposed to be for tomorrow’s breakfast — they were nibbled away later– I guess I’ll be back tomorrow for replacements. Great food, Lovely place, delightful friendly staff.

I love how flexible their menu is. My sandwich came out perfectly. Only draw back… parking, thankfully I had a 4×4 and could just wedge myself into a snow bank.
