Best pizza in Bath, hands down. They also have Italians, pasta dinners, salads, and some amazing appetizers. While delivery is an option, we like to enjoy our beer and pizza in one of their cozy booths, or outside on the patio when it’s warm.

Local institution. It isn’t about the food. It’s about catching up with old friends over pitchers of cheap beer in a slightly musty smelling cabin like setting. Much of the menu is priced around $ 5. So the quality of ingredients isn’t going to be the world’s finest. There may not be an Italian or Italian American within 50 miles, but that’s not the point.

Ate here several times and had the basil pizza both times(actually all three times). It is the closest place to work. My coworkers seemed to enjoy their sandwiches. If I return to Bath, I will definitely come here again. I think they did some renovations last week and were closed a couple days, so maybe there are improvemetns at this point.

Well… went back eagerly to The Cabin… anxiously anticipating a repeat of the amazing goodness of our last visit. What can I say… cheese was not as incredible… and the sauce… pretty darn bland this time around for some reason. Had to load it up with crushed pepper flakes and parm. cheese this time, which we NEVER would have done to the masterpiece that was the pie we experienced only a few weeks ago. It was fine… but that’s all… not sure what happened. In any event, LOVE this old joint and will give it another chance… even if pizza doesn’t improve, still a magnificent place for a pitcher of beer within the dark, cozy wonderful confines of this local treasure. A sign said they are closing for two days for some remodeling… God, I hope they don’t ruin this perfect ambiance!

The Cabin has the best pizza around HANDSDOWN! I love this local business! They hand make their pizza dough which now a days is rare! The dough knots are always a must have as an appetizer! Most the employees have worked there for years which speaks leaps about how well they treat their employees! I want to support a local business that pays a fair wage and truly cares for the employees, this is that place!

This place was a neat find on Unilocal and not very far from home. I love the atmosphere they created, with wooden high back benches and lots of lantern style lighting. The temperature was a bit too warm, but they did have some fans The staff were quick to answer questions about the menu. There is plenty of seating and the meals will be served to your table, but all orders are placed at the counter. They also kept up with the high demand for takeout and delivery. They are a cash or check only business. They offer lots of subs, Italian fare, beer, wine and salad. They also don’t have a fryalator, so all apps are premade and baked to crispness. We got two small pizzas, the shrimp alfredo and the sweet and spicy with chicken and pineapple. They hand spin all the dough and possibly make it there. It was soft and moist with a touch of crunchy and sweetness. The shrimp pizza was too crispy for my liking, to which I assume they had to ensure the shrimp were well cooked. The shrimp pizza had a delightful creamy and garlicy sauce, but not nearly enough shrimp as I would like. The sweet and spicy sauce pizza was out of this world. It was well balanced and my new favorite.

I was vacationing in the area and my kids were craving pizza one day, so we tried this place based on the positive reviews. The pizza is alright. The crust is thinner than your basic franchise pizza shops, but not crispy. The sauce was good also. The chicken fingers were ok also, but came out with bbq dipping sauce. I would prefer blue cheese or ranch. The real highlight was the dough knots. They came in a bath of olive oil and minced garlic with a tasty bowl of sauce to dip in. My kids loved them and so did I! They don’t take credit card, which I understand, but come on… I don’t care that you have an ATM for my convenience. The ordering process is unconventional… you walk in and order what you want and pay for it and then go grab a seat. For the out of towner with kids who might have been at the beach all day in the sun, it makes for a complicated process. Unfortunately, a process that I don’t intend to go through again when I’m in town.

I was hooked by the kitchen aroma when I opened the front door. Just went for the second night in a row. Can’t make it three because we head back to Southern California tomorrow. Highly recommend The Cabin Restaurant. Excellent, as advertised(a local also recommended it). Order at the counter, then they bring your food to you. I’m Italian(Sicilian) and this is worth a stop. Near the shipyards, so not in the glamorous and boutique part of Bath, but once inside it doesn’t matter. Only problem was they don’t sell their tee shirts, which I wanted to proudly wear back home!

Great place! The Pizza was amazing! We plan on going back and trying more of the menu. We popped in late just 30 minutes before coming in on a Tuesday. The staff was very friendly and served us very quickly!

I find the darkness inside to be a bit much– I have trouble seeing, takes a while for my eyes to adjust, but otherwise the food is fantastic! I love the dough knots and white pizza in particular! Mmm!

Pizza is always good, I really like their white pizza. The interior is dark/not well lit and the seating is narrow/cramped in some places, but overall good place.

We stopped here on a Saturday at 6pm on our way to Booth Bay Harbor. It was a great idea. This place is really close to Rt. 1 and the pizza is great. We got pepperoni and white clam pies. The garlic knots and Greek salad were also pretty good. Service was fast. Plenty of tables at that time. No credit cards and you order at the counter. The place didn’t seem as dirty as I expected after reading the other reviews.

A dark interior… dark wood and lighting. Kinda dingy but the pizza is the best around. Nice, thin crust pizza. Try the pesto, Kalamata olive and artichoke pizza, the ham and pineapple, or just a plain mushroom and cheese. Good pizza. Roast beef sub with onions and cheese is a winner. Off street parking… bring cash or there is an ATM inside. No credit cards. A local Bath favorite.

My husband loves their pizza more than any other in the area. I agree(although they’re a little saucy for me). Their dough knots are amazing, and I love their shaved chicken sandwiches with peppers and onions. A great local place with reasonable prices!

I can only describe this place as interesting. If this is the best pizza in mid-coast then I feel sorry for everyone living here. Not terrible but the best comparison I could give is the pizza is a step up from Domino’s or Papa John’s. Ordered a submarine sandwich and the quality of the meat was low. However, I would recommend the dough knots as that and the Pemaquid Ale were the highlights. Thought service was OK but I think there may have only been 3 or 4 other tables so a quiet night.

This place is THEBEST for pizza in mid-coast Maine. Toppings are fantastic and the crust is thin. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid — LOVEIT here!

Found this little gem on my first trip to Bath a few years ago and now it’s become a tradition every time I visit Maine. First of all, the décor is AMAZING! It’s dark inside, full of dark wood and beautiful ship paintings. I love, love, LOVE the ambiance. Second, the food is pretty darn good! The dough knots are so yummy! So is the shrimp pizza. I can’t get enough of this place. I really look forward to coming here every year. Keep up the good work guys! Hope to see you again in 2015!

Cozy, dark pizza and pasta joint — with a big time need for AC(management should consider window AC units in the summer; it gets a little stifling at times). They do, however, have outdoor seating, but then you’ve got the bug issues. Oh well! The food however, is really good! The dough knots in garlic were tasty, served with a side of their thick red sauce. Next time I’ll ask for a bit more garlic and oil on it. Salad was super crisp, with high quality ingredients — loved it! The pizza was really top notch; no oil on the paper plates, the sign of high quality cheese. The crust is thin and perfectly crunchy, absolutely dead on correct for a pizza. We all loved it(kids too) and we will absolutely be back!
