TWOLONGBLONDEHAIRSWEREINMYFOODFROMTHISPLACE. EMBEDDED. READFORFURTHERDETAILS… Ordered some chicken tacos adobo here with the wife. In my order there was FOUR chicken tacos. TWOOFWHICHHADLONGBLONDEHAIRSDEEPLYEMBEDDED, TWOHAIRSINONETACOANDONEINTHEOTHER. I totally understand the need to wear a hair net but the hair didn’t fall on top or around the top of the taco. I took a bite and the hair Strang out from my mouth, as my wife watched, gagging in disgust. Enjoy your dining experience here. I called to complain and the manager offered me another free order of their hairy tacos. If they had offered a refund, I may have not written this, but that’s life. Hire idiotic employees who intently place hair in tacos, deal with the bad reviews! I saved the hairs and the receipt and placed them both into a plastic bag. I’ll update this ad with a photo of said hairs… disgusting.

Good place to eat. Their menu changes from time to time so favorite dishes might come and go(makes you really miss them). I feel like there are too many employees here. Most of the time I come here(during lunch usually) the waiters/waitresses outnumber the people eating there, which leads to them piling up in a big group and talking… Which possibly leads to losing track of you for a spell. Depends on who your server is

I went there today with my boyfriend and the hostess and waiters were very polite and helpful. They were consistently asking if we needed anything such as refills and anything else. Nice to have people who actually care about their customers. I ordered the vegetable fajitas and my boyfriend ordered the fish tacos. I thought my food was pretty tasty(it is very difficult to find places that have good tasting food with vegetables, so I was pretty pleased) and my boyfriend loved his fish tacos. The décor of the restaurant was not all that great and the food was kinda pricey, but the service was excellent with refills and check ups.

the only thing I’ve ever had from here was the Tortilla Soup(no chicken) and it is to DIEFOR! It’s a brothy soup, not chunky and all vegetabl-y like other restaurants. The place is a little too crowded for me, too many tables too close together.

This place has changed names so many times it is ridiculous. But I am confident that Caliente Mexican Craving is here to stay! Caliente has only been open a week or so and this is my second visit. The margaritas are cold and tasty, the cheese dip is large and hot, the chimichanga, tacos, and chili relleno are delicious. I totally recommend this place because I love eating Mexican!

I have gone here three times… the first time to meet a group of friends for dinner and drinks… after walking in and being seated, it took 30 minutes before a waitress came to our table and this was after asking the hostess for assistance. The second time was to hear a band play, again HORRIBLE service. The third was to go see an old friend from high school play music there… truly the worst service ever. I don’t think I have ever had anything off the menu… after being put out by the apathetic staff. I refused to order anything other than bottled beer and chips and salsa. I think if this place wants to stay in business. maybe hire people who understand they are in a «service industry». Otherwise, I gave this place three chances and each time it failed miserably. I think they suck.

I may be biased because this is my cousin and her husbands restaurant, but this is my favorite Mexican Restaurant in Baton Rouge. Every time i come to BR to visit my family i get my mom to bring me and my husband. we always get the chips and queso because its some of the best queso i get: D my favorite dish is the quesidilla. i like both the chicken and steak so i switch up! I’ve tried a few other things… the chimichanga’s are great. the taco’s are great. the rice and beans are great too!(which sometimes you go to a Mexican restaurant and they aren’t very tasty. But they are pretty darn good here!) I always enjoy my food and the service here so every time I’m in town I’ll be sure to stop in!

Everything was delicious! Loved their salsa, had fish tacos — they were great! And the chicken quesadillas were very good. No happy hours on a Thursday night(happy hour is all day Monday through Wednesday), but the ultimate margaritas were great. I usually don’t like flan, but theirs is very good. Service left a bit to be desired. For that & the lack of a happy hour, I give it only 4 stars… I’ll be back for live music, they have an event calendar on their website.

WOW! I wish I could say some nice things about the food… but it was SO bad. I ordered Flautas… the Chicken fell out in the cooking process and what few(3) pieces that remained were little rubber squares. The rice and Tea was the only thing that was tolerable. My Mother in Law ordered the Chile Rellenos and it was literately a green grilled chili stuffed with cheese. I do not know who is directing the cooking or the menu but it is surly not Mexican.
