I love this store! It is a secret treasure hidden in plain sight (directly across from The Big Squeezy and Jimmy Johns on Perkins by the overpass). I go for my fantasy/science fiction books, but found a new hard cover Chuck Palahniuk that I had been unable to find anywhere! Also, as it is mostly a used book store, the books are cheaper than a new book or an e-book generally. Check this place out if you haven’t already!

one of my favorite charming br gems. go local, baby! Danny’s passion for history and good books is apparent and he can order books for you if they aren’t in stock. i have been going here for over two decades– i remember transitioning from the kids section to fiction to nonfiction. i love browsing here, esp the back used books section. he has fabulous louisiana books as well as best sellers. pop in next time you’re nearby, even if you don’t buy anything, this is a br classic that i dearly miss since moving but still stop by when visiting my folks.

This was the first time I used Unilocal to find a business while visiting a city. Mike T’s 5-star rating was correct. While many used bookstores have been purchased by chains, this one has that amazing one-of-a-kind feeling that makes it feel like you could browse forever and find absolutely anything. (Which I did!)
