The worst company I have ever had the misfortune of doing business with. The installation was shoddy and lazy with nails sticking out of corners, carpet not tucked in, thresholds scratched and bent, closet doors broke, tile broken during the installation, so on and so forth. They were supposed to contact me to come back and fix the door they broke, but that hasn’t happened yet and it has been well over a month. The Installation Manager was rude and mumbling under his breath when I asked, yet again, for the bent and scratched threshold to be fixed(he also showed up almost 20 minutes late when he knew I had purposefully left work early to accommodate his schedule since he could not meet me at the time when it was convenient for me.). They left installation tools at my house, which I told the manager, and I have yet to even receive a request for them to be returned. The Store Manager also bad mouthed the estimator saying he was ‘often forgetful so she wasn’t surprised that he didn’t report our complaints.’ The Owner won’t return my call to discuss the tile they broke. It is quite obvious that neither the Owner nor his employees truly care about the business.

If I could give negative stars I would. Worst job ever. Paid nearly 19,000 to have tile installed. Uneven floors — they were supposed to be laid on thirds. The installers apparently did not know that technique since every other row matches up perfectly. Sharp corners sticking up. Embarrassed that I paid that much for something that probably brought down the value of my home. Very unprofessional contractors — said that they thought their job was good. Nothing in compensation from the store. In response to Owners’ response: I never expressed that all of the issues were rectified or that I was satisfied. There were more than«some» issues and in fact I was disappointed with the entire job. However, by the time we were able to get the owner and salesman over to check on our complaints we were in the processing of moving in and we did not have time to have the entire floor demolished and start from scratch again. My husband convinced me to allow the business to attempt to repair only a few of the biggest flaws that would not be covered by furniture because we had to move in. The repairs were done reluctantly by the contractor AFTER we moved in and even then they really did not make a noticeable difference. At the time the business came out to inspect the problems we pointed out I did not realize that the«thirds» job was done incorrectly and that was probably why there was such a problem with the unevenness. I am disappointed that Emerson didn’t point that out and admit the error of their contractor as I am sure they must have noticed it since they are in the flooring business. The only reason more product had to be ordered was because your subcontractor’s crew scratched several of the tiles and had already replaced them. I recall they warned us to be careful moving furniture and told us the tiles scratch very easily and they had to replace some they had already laid. When we asked for repairs he told us they had used every single tile that was ordered. I only paid the remainder of the bill because I wanted to be done with it and I honor my debts, but was disappointed that no one from Emerson even suggested offering a discount or even grout sealer. All issues were never rectified to my satisfaction and what I expressed was resignation at having to live with that job for the rest of our lives and wishing we had spent that much money for something we would enjoy. I don’t see how anyone can look at the pictures(which are only a small sample) and defend that job as acceptable.
