Talk about off the beaten track. This place is literally hidden on a side road off Sherwood by the volleyball courts, but it screams local no-nonsense dining. Onion rings were good, and I got the gumbo. Everyone agrees the place is known for the Shrimp Remoulade. I’ll be back for sure. Nothing spectacular, but a change of pace from the usual chain restaurant fare.

I’ve only been here once, but I think I’ll try it again. This place is tucked away behind the Mango’s volleyball complex… but you can’t get there from there(?, is that right?). Anyway, you have to take Sherwood from Siegen and then a left on Westfork and if you get to Southfork you went too far OR you can take Sherwood from Siegen and then a left of Southfork then a right on Westfork and if you hit Sherwood you went too far… then when you get there they’ll say«Wha rrrr uuuu dooooin her?» You just respond with«I’mmmmmmm your brooooooo, bro»…not really(as i rip off The Californians, SNL). Monday Red Beans special. Comes with sausage, pot salad, and corn bread. Pretty damn good. I’ll go back and try something else. Looks like an older crowd here, except for us… and the waitress… who said she would text my friend… but didn’t.
