HORRIBLE!!! When I first got there, the parking lot was full of junk cars and when I asked if they do inspections a rude man said bring your paperwork there and pointed to the office. Now, when I say office I don’t mean office I mean a hole in the wall with a bunch of signs and papers. I could barely find it but made my way through the caked on oil floor and mess and found two men talking. I opened the door and they were talking about how women should not have rights and things like that… I guess that should be another story. But he saw I was there and I asked if they do inspections and he pointed to a sign above him and said «can’t you see the men are talking about business?» This was the owner of this dump. The other man was a customer and was just as rude as the owner. Basically the guy is a sexist pig. He ignored me but put his hand out for my information and said $ 18. I said I didn’t have cash and to hand me my information back. He gave me the rudest look and handed it back and as I was walking out he told me to bring cash tomorrow and he opens at 8. Needless to say I will NEVER be going back there and neither should you.
Also the good reviews on here were probably written by the owner himself.

Honest and reasonable. What more can you ask for from a mechanic’s shop? Everyone from our office brings their cars here. Mr. Tinh is straight forward and always does good work. He may be too blunt for some but I would rather that than the alternative. Monday, Friday, and Saturday are his busiest days and he doesn’t have a large waiting area. That’s fine for me. Who wants to wait around while their car is repaired?

In the South, the culture revolves around religion, sports, food, and cars. Highland Car Care is THE place to bring the latter. There are few sure things in Baton Rouge (#1) beyond Raising Canes and perhaps Cajun fare, but Highland Car Care is about as sure as they come.
The shop’s owner, Tinh, is one of the coolest guys in the business. He keeps it real and amidst all of his jokes, maintains a professional demeanor and stands by his excellent work. He along with his staff have done an incredible job for me each time I’ve brought in a car with any type of trouble and have been excellent at diagnosing my car problems, even when I didn’t properly explain my issues.
Fixing a car costs money and sometimes a lot depending on the problem and the make/​model of your car. The guys here have been very realistic with me each time, making astute recommendations for current and potential problems, while keeping the prices very reasonable each time. Car trouble is an oxymoron with these guys in town.
I am clearly not the only one the bandwagon. Baton Rouge folks have known of this place for years and as a result this place is busy. Chat with the Tinh and his crew on the severity of your issues (mine have all been rental car issues) and they may be able to make last minute exceptions to get you back on the road.
If I’m within 50 miles of Baton Rouge and I’ve got car issues, my car is going here. It will probably come back better than new because that’s just how good these guys are. The bottom line is there is just no car shop better than Highland Car Care in the city of Baton Rouge.
