A few hundred yards from the Parade Grounds, the iconic Clock Tower and the very odd Indian Burial mounds, nestled between the Band Hall and the Pentagon dorm is one of my favorite places on this beautiful campus. As a grad of LSU, I recall the Greek Theater fondly. It is a sea of tranquillity in the heart of a very raucous campus, particularly on a Saturday night when the Fightin’ Tigers are in town. Well nothing’s really quiet on those nights and we wouldn’t have it any other way. GEAUXTIGERS! Surrounded by stately oaks festooned with Spanish moss, neatly manicured hedgerows and utilitarian but challenging walking paths, this is a spot to visit. Parents will love to take a load off here when visiting their sons and daughters on campus or as a place to discuss everything you’ve seen on a prospective registration visit. I hope you stop by and then log in to let me know what you think. Laissez le bontemps rollez!

Nothing really special about this place. It’s a building filled with unhealthy fast food joints with half of their menus. The place is always freezing cold me the employees could care less about the customers. Be prepared for a 45 minute wait to eat when coming here.

Pretty much the only place to get LSU gear, so if you want to get your Tiger on, you do it here. Great staff too. We picked up some hoodies, t-shirts and baller pens.

The LSU Barbershop is friendly, does good work, and can’t beat a $ 13 haircut.

The On the Geaux salad place is a great value for your money, and essentially the only«healthy» option on campus. Bayou Bistreaux has some okay options every now and then, but everything is oversalted from my experience. The Panda Express has really nice employees, and the food is usually fresh, yum. Everything else is «meh,» in my opinion.

The LSU Student Union is a pretty decent place, especially now that it has been renovated, but, mostly, you’ll receive a fast-food like experience. The food is good but not spectacular(usually, the restaurants within the Union offer a lower-quality product than their off-campus equivalents), and don’t expect stellar customer service. Mostly, the staff is just looking to get you through the line, especially during lunch rush(which isn’t necessarily a bad thing since most people have limited time to eat). The food options are as follows(except during the summer when most of the restaurants are closed): –Magnolia Room(all-you-can eat buffet) –CC’s –Papa John’s –Bayou Bistreaux(hot meal — usually with local flair) –French Quarter Café(breakfast, po-boys) –Salsarita’s –Jamba Juice –Chick-fil-a –Panda Express –On-the-Geaux(made-to-order salads and prepackaged items) –McDonald’s –Einstein Brothers Plus, there are other services including: –ATMs –Campus Federal –LSU Leisure classes –Tiger Card Office –Ricoh Mail & Copy Center(PO Boxes/Copy machine/out-going mailboxes/postage machine) –Cox Communications –Computer lab –Union Theater –Other LSU offices (The LSU Bookstore has been moved out of the Union! It’s now across the street!) As I mentioned earlier in this review, the Union can get super busy, especially around lunch, so be sure to give yourself plenty of time to find food and a clean-ish table(which can be really hard to come by).

What a great place to take a break from Tailgating and escape the heat. The AC in the union was kicking and I was able to cool off pretty quick. Plenty of restrooms and the bookstore had great selection of Tiger gear.

Clean with a decent selection of food. Plenty of places to sit and eat or study. Flat-screens in the lower dining area if u are bored. There is also a barber shop on the first floor. Computer lab on the third floor-u can print here. Bookstore is nice and aside from books has LSU gear etc.

OMG!!! Love this place. We went searching for LSU gear everywhere in Baton Rouge. The all time best place to buy it is at LSU Bookstore. I found the MOST comfy and cute pj pants and shirt. I also got a fleece and some other little things. They have an LSU motorcycle in the middle of the store that is just too great. The cashier said«you break it you buy it» but you can take pics on it. hahahah! We had fun. Minus one star for no dressing room. WTF. I am pretty sure there is video of me undressing in the corner but darn if these pants dont fit perfect!
