I just had my hair cut and colored here. I would not recommend. I recently moved to BR and went to an Aveda salon back home. Naturally, I wanted to find another Aveda salon. The colorist was vapid and disinterested in hearing about how I wanted my color to be. I even brought my color numbers with me! Apparently, she didn’t recognize them or ask anybody for help with them. A quick call to my former salon would have cleared up any issue/confusion but that seemed to be too much. I’m left with large, choppy streaks of lowlights(think 90’s hair glory). My stylist, while pleasant; gave me a terrible haircut. There was no interest in giving me deep conditioning(which I asked for and my hair desperately needs). I asked if I could be squeezed in for an eyebrow wax(as there was a flyer posted to the mirror in front of me advertising wax services). After maybe 15 minutes, a different vapid millennial told me the next appointment wasn’t for a few hours, so «no». My hair now looks like a lifeless streaky brown mop. I’m a natural blonde that came in for highlights. I wanted to come in, be pampered and leave feeling good about myself. I’m now back in ponytails, hats and in need of a good cut/style. Not impressed.

I had a bleach incident Saturday evening. I called the salon an hour before they closed, and the receptionist was very sympathetic. She scheduled me for a consultation with Rachel the next day. The consultation turned into just fixing my color and a quick trim, less than 24 hours after I initially called. Rachel did an amazing job! It was a bit pricey, but I knew that going in and I would absolutely recommend this place.

I had never been to a Paris Parker before but I will be back. I scheduled my appointment online and prepaid which made it so easy. You can also see everyone’s prices for cuts. I went with Palma. She was great. Easy to talk to, and didn’t force the conversation. When it came time for my hair style, she really taught me about the products and even showed me how much to use based on my hair type. The whole experience was great. Palma was a great stylist.

I love this place because I love my hair stylist Rachel Gleason. Normal women’s cuts are 40 $ and that is the price I’ve always paid. In the city of Houston they can be as much as 75 $. If you are looking for a new hair stylist try her out. She’s very personable as well and gives good head massages :).

Love my girl Alex. She’s great and doesn’t CHOP off inches at my hair when I come in for a trim — to clean out my split ends. Their products are great and they leave my hair smelling amazing. Always a treat!

I had my haircut twice before there and had a rather nice experience. However, this one girl was trying to increase her business of waxing and gave out free waxing appointments to her clients, one of which included my co-worker. I was just trying to help her out so I schedule an appointment. All blame on me, I completely forgot about the appointment. When I was in a meeting, my phone rang and I let it go to voicemail. I had a message from her saying that I missed my appointment. Then, she THOUGHT she hung up the phone but didn’t. I continue to hear her talk to her friend/co-worker about how terrible of a human being I was for being a no-show and I should at least«have the decency to call to cancel». I immediately called back and informed her that it was an absolute honest mistake that I forgot about the appointment but she shouldn’t assume that I was one of those people who just decided not to show up. She apologized but I won’t be going back. Both for her insulting me over voice mail and my embarrassment that I forgot my appointment.

I had my hair cut by Brooke M. and I am pleased. The time it takes for a haircut ranges depending on who you have. Since I had Brooke cut my hair, it took about 45 minutes including a hair wash. She also helped my style it which is a plus. I brought a picture of how I wanted my hair to be cut and it was pretty close! The minor negative things: You need to book an appointment one to two weeks ahead. ALSO, call to double or even triple check that your appointment is still booked since the appointment can disappear through human/computer error. In my opinion, I think a haircut for 30+ dollars is pretty steep but it is definitely worth it to splurge once in a while for that special event. Be prepared to wait approximately 10 minutes after your scheduled appointment. There is no need to arrive early.

If you want to be pampered, this is the place for you. The salon features Aveda products which are expensive, but worth it because the are all natural and smell amazing. The salon was empty when I went, but thats because it was a Monday and this is one of the few salons that is open on Mondays, which is a definite plus. The staff were just great. They waited on me hand and foot, treated me to coffee and mineral water. The colorist did a fanatstic job and did exactly what I asked. There is a flat screen tv displaying anorexic models parading themselves up and down the runway for my entertainment. While watching this, this the colorist asked me, «Dont u love looking at people who have thrown-up everyday since puberty?» t really cracked me up and made me less intimidated by the hi-end suroundings. My stylist, whose name escapes me, did and excellent job. He gave me a fantastic neck, scalp and shoulder massage before cutting my hair. That was worth the money alone! He did just what I asked for and cut my hair with skill which is not easy considering I have have fine but curly hair. Also, he got major brownie points for not pushing me to buy products. The only reason I didnt give it 5 star because the smocks were really small and didnt fit me, which was embarrassing. Oh well, otherwise A+.
