Checked in on Saturday and the staff greeted us well. No complaints so far. Have only been here one night. Two more to go. Morning breakfast is good.

The staff makes this place so wonderful. Toy, Collette, Colleen, and Taylor are some of my favorites here. I travel 80% of the year and get homesick quite often, but these people always know how to make it a little better.

This is the second time I’ve stayed at this hotel. It is an excellent value for the size of the room and the appeal of the surrounding area. The facilities are clean and have been recently updated. My room sleeps five and has a little kitchen with a fridge, stove, micro, and dishwasher. The staff is super friendly and exceptionally helpful. The grounds are quite nice – lovely flowers and well maintained. The hotel sits right next to a mall and very close the I-10. I feel safe here

We stayed here one night as it was near the wedding and reception site we were attending. The front desk was efficient and friendly. The beds were comfortable. Being a suite, the room was large with plenty of space to move around. There was a decent breakfast in the morning. I was surprised that there was a gas grill out near the pool. We are probably coming back as there is another wedding and reception in town later this year at the same event site.

This hotel is awesome! First of all it is in a great location right next to a star bucks and a whole foods. There is plenty of restaurants and shopping right next to the hotel. The hotel is so nice and clean. The employees are super nice too. They have beer and wine socials Monday through Wednesday. The breakfast is awesome. They have an outdoor pool and basketball court! It doesn’t get any better than that!

Being married to a Fight Attendant for over 30 years, we have visited many hotels both at the airports, and nearby. Our stay at this property was perfect. Front desk team were really the tops. Breakfast was sweet, and the service with a smile started out our day in Baton Rouge. Sarah Savell was especially helpful to us, when we had a problem with our rental car. Once again, if you look at my other reviews, you will see I am a hard guy to please. But Residence Inn Baton Rouge is A1 Perfect ! Keep up the good work, see you again in July.

We stayed here on NYE night. I did a Priceline Name Your Price and this is where we ended up. I was a little disappointed bc it wasn’t as close to the interstate as I had hoped. I can say that I was totally wrong and glad we ended up here. It was very clean and staff was very friendly. They have food/social on some of the week nights. They had BBQ beef sandwiches that night and it was actually very good! I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling or needing a room!

I loved this hotel. I stayed here for about 5 months with work. I had a suite with a stove and refrigerator which is convenient when you travel for work for long periods of time. There was plenty of closet space, a nice lomg vanity and the beds were comfortable enough. The front desk staff is friendly and efficient and the few problems I did have were quickly addressed by the GM. The breakfast is good, not amazing by any means but they offer a variety of options. I didn’t ever eat the dinner because they don’t typically have vegetarian options unless it’s a side salad. They have a nice lounging area up front which we utilized for an Oscar watch party. They do have trivia night where you can earn hotel points. The housekeeping staff is mediocre. They’re inconsistent. I’ve stayed in hotels for the past year for work and this one probably had the worst housekeeping staff of all of the Marriott hotels. Honestly, I think it’s just that laid-back Louisiana lifestyle. The pool is okay but they do have grills you can use at your convenience. Kelli, at the front desk, is the sweetest and most pleasant person you’ll meet. She genuinely cares about taking care of the guest and she made my stay memorable.

Really lovely Residence Inn in a great central location. I don’t know how old this place is, but it feels brand new. Our room was located on the 3rd floor facing the rear of the building and we stayed a week. No complaints here! The room had a full kitchen — full fridge, microwave, stove, dishwasher… Pretty much everything you’d need on a business trip or extended stay. I love that this Residence Inn has free breakfast 7 days a week! Can’t go wrong with that. It also has an outdoor pool, hot tub, fitness center, and outdoor basketball court. Parking is free and plentiful and I found the area to be really safe and worry-free. The hotel is located next to a brand new shopping center(Towne Center at Cedar Lodge) which has a new Whole Foods and various restaurants and shops.

While I’ve had so-so experiences with Residence Inn’s in the past… this visit was pretty pleasant. I agree with Margaret H — I love that this place is located so close to such a nice upscale shopping complex. My FAVORITE part was that there was a Whole Foods and a Flemings so close! The hotel itself is pretty new; the property was very clean from what I saw. I didn’t venture to the pool area or the exercise area. My room was a 1-bedroom suite. Nice living area, full kitchen, flat screen TV in living area and bedroom area. I’d also agree with Margaret H in that the rooms(at least mine) felt like a mini-apartment. Why I didn’t rate 5 *‘s… front desk service. I arrived around 1:30pm, and they advised me that my room wasn’t ready yet and to arrive back at 3pm. Okay… I understand(sometimes). The two attendants weren’t overly friendly. So… I tried again at 3:45pm. And a new front desk attendant had to call around on the walkie-talkie with housekeeping to see if a room was ready. He said they had one, and sent me on my way. When I arrived at the room, the door was partially opened.(The interior safety lock was opened, keeping the door from fully closing.) The garbage can from the kitchen was out with the cupboard door still open. Obviously housekeeping hadn’t finished tidying up the place. Not a huge deal… but potentially scary since the room wasn’t really«locked». BUT… what really bugged me was that it was an accessible room. UGGGH! Looking past those little annoyances, I didn’t spend much time in the room anyways. But I did like the property. I would venture to say it’s probably one of the nicest properties in the area, if not THE nicest.

I’ve stayed at the Residence Inn Siegan, Hyatt Place, Holiday Inn College, The Cook Center on campus, and the Crowne Plaza in Baton Rouge. This is definitely the nicest location, room, and atmosphere, especially if you are staying more than a couple of nights or have kids with you. A big plus for me is its location adjacent to an upscale shopping center with a good selection of restaurants, shops, nail salon, and a Whole Foods. The rooms are like little apartments, with a great layout, an this is the most stylish and new Residence Inn I’ve stayed at. The breakfast is also well prepared, with extras like nuts and raisins for the oatmeal, many hot choices, and a good selection of cereals, donuts and pastries. It is really hard to get a room! Book plenty in advance.

Still totally dig this hotel. This is my second time here in the last 8 months, and it doesn’t disappoint. I hesitate to rave about this hotel because I’m sure it contributes to the difficulty in getting a room here. I personally didn’t have issues finding the place. It’s right next to the Towne Center At Cedar Lodge. Because this location is so new, you can’t find it on googlemaps(c’mon satellites, hook a brotha up!). The hot tub is totally nice & I always do an «Eddie Murphy as James Brown» when I get into the tub( ). What else? The rooms have two LCD tvs per suite — can I hear a «straight pimpin’?? I only have a couple of gripes: 1) It’s been hard to get a government rate room here. 2) The hotel’s gym is a bit lacking. There are only 4 cardio machines, and that’s about it.

Location: Extremely difficult to locate from I-10 Room: Cleanliness: Dirty sheets on queen bed — sticky goo.(When I complain to front desk, she said, no one has been in room for a long time, it isn’t possible that the sheets are dirty) Kitchen: Looks clean and new Amenities: There was a missing TV in the king room.(When I advised the front desk, she apologized that she had failed to inform me that the TV was in repair, not that she had given me a room with no TV.) Service: Front desk recognized me as a platinum reward member. Beyond that, she didn’t acknowledge any of my noted preferences — namely, high floor(I as placed on the ground/1st floor facing the parking lot, next to the hotel a/c condenser — could hear the darn thing churning all night), away from elevator(given that I am on the 1st floor, that doesn’t really matter — right?). I would NOT recommend this property to anyone, unless one is so inclined to be sleeping in dirty bed, or watch TV only in the«living» room.
