This is my favorite restaurant in Baton Rouge. The staff is extremely friendly. I definitely recommend the chicken schwarma and Lebanese tea and tzatiki appetizer and the baklava for dessert. Love this place.

I decided to eat here on Father’s Day due to the fact that I had Asian food the night before, steak two nights before, didn’t deal like Mexican not Italian and haven’t been to a Greek & Lebanese restaurant in months. Plus I had the feeling that it was not going to be crowded on Father’s Day such as the restaurants across the street: PF Chang’s, Flemings… I ordered the Lamb Shank and it was worth every penny of the listed price, plus there was enough food left over for lunch the following day. The lamb was tenderly delicious and their special Demi-Glacé sauce topped it off! The waiter was friendly, patient, polite and helpful and the business was clean and picturesque.

Sub par at best… If you are looking for good service or fresh food this is not the place! Baton Rouge has many great Greek places but this will leave you dissatisfied. The food is always dry or overcooked but at least the portions are good. I give them 2 stars just because they give a healthy portion.

Today for lunch I am eating the most delectable Gyro Mediterranean salad! There is so much meat that I’ll have lots left over for supper. There’s also tons of artichoke hearts and feta cheese– two of my favorite foods! And for that special touch — the roasted red peppers are divine. All in all one of the best things I’ve ever eaten there!!!

The tone was set early with the warm but clearly store-bought pita brought out first with nothing to dip it in. The lentil soup was watery and tasted like they’d dumped lentils in chicken broth. The chicken shawarma was well-cooked but lacking much flavor. Service was the highlight — very attentive, and the food came out quickly.

Serop’s is a good place for mediterranean food. Have been to this place twice, ordered chicken shawarma the first time and lamb kabab next time. Having tasted chicken shawarma in many places I can say that this is very good but the lamb was not that great. Main issue with serops is the service.

Went with a friend who loves this place, and I can see why. This place has great hummus and the best falafels I’ve ever had. Service was attentive and the vegetarian plate was a great deal. I will definitely be back when in town. The freshness and quality of the food can’t be beat.

I love Serops! Food is always great and the portions are large enough to make at least 2 meals. The Lebanese tea is some of the best I’ve ever had… I could drink it by the gallon. Never disappointed when I come here!

Serop’s is probably my favorite Greek restaurant to dine at in the Baton Rouge and surrounding areas. This place is very good. I love the pita bread and hummus, the gyros, and the Greek feta salad. The food served here is fresh, hot and delicious. The servers are pretty attentive and assess the customers needs. The portions are pretty massive and you can almost share just about everything. Come here hungry. Leave here very full.

Loved the feta salad from the vegetarian platter. The waiter was nice. The grape leaves didn’t taste like they had enough stuffing in them though and the portions were kinda small, but not to the point where you would feel ripped off. Overall, it was an ok experience.

I really enjoyed my meal, which was a lamb gyro with hummus, pita bread and cheese salad. It was delicious. Service was fast and prompt.

This is the Bocage/Towne Center/Corporate location. First time here in quite some time. Staff and service has always been polite and efficient. But like all Lebanese/Middle East type restaurants I ordered the same thing — schwerma and/or gyros. This visit the food was a little dry and the hummus a little thin, which is atypical from the times I have been here in the past so I assume this was an off day. Another thing to mention about this location was its menu – they provided each of us a sheet of paper which I guess is considered«off menu» items however this sheet of paper was well-used — -this suggests to me that they have been offering these items for some time. These off menu items seem to have more fish type selections so it looks like Serops is diversifying its offerings.

Had an awesome meal and an awesome waiter. Best Greek place we’ve eaten in BR and I’m picky. Rod was our server and he was very helpful and knew the menu well. Will come back again… Shwarma salad: 4⁄5 fried goat cheese: 4⁄5 service: 5÷5… P. S. ask for Rod!

Very good! I ate the chicken shawarma plate and it was amazing just like in Saudi Arabia where I grew up! The fried eggplant was a bit greasy but in all fairness it was fried. Flavor was perfect though.

Really good Chicken Schwarma, but the salad dressing on the Greek salad totally lacks flavor and is usually wayyyyy over-cheesed with nasty salty feta cheese which I don’t care much for but the dressing tastes pretty much like oil and vinegar and nothing else so I don’t care for the salads here. They also use the very tough, woody and unpleasantly flavored outer leaves that should be thrown away in their salads. Their hummus is nice, a little runny but good flavor but it needs more garlic and less lemon and the pita bread is nice with a choice of white or wheat. The rice is also quite good as I tasted it but didn’t eat it(I don’t eat rice or bread other than to taste it) but the real star here is the chicken schwarma which is MUCH tastier than the one on Perkins I am sorry to say because the one on Perkins is closer to me. The last time I was there, I got a pound of the chicken which I thought was WAYYY overpriced at $ 18 per pound, but when I got it home, I discovered that there was at LEAST2 pounds of yummy chicken and ended up getting 5 meals out of it, so it was a much better buy than I had originally thought and it is SOOOVERYGOOD that it is all I ever order. I’m somewhat embarrassed that I’ve never had anything else but I’m weird person when it comes to that. Most people go to a restaurant and then decide what they want to eat. I decide what I want to eat and then I go to the best place for what I want which in the case of Chicken Schwarma is THIS particular Serops locatkon. Nice people, acceptable service and reasonably priced makes this place an ongoing winner in my book.

I’m here fairly regularly for lunch as I work nearby. The food is great and the service is fast. They get really busy for lunch so they need to be quick! I recommend the Mediterranean hummus, gyro salad and Lebanese tea. I love the Lebanese tea here, it tastes so good!

I found this to be very high-quality Greek food! The service was fast and friendly. We dined there on a Sunday afternoon so it was rather busy, but our food came out in a timely manner, plated and heated to perfection! I am a huge fan of the gyro plate… I simply cannot go to a Greek place and not eat a Gyro… that just completes the whole experience, since that is their specialty meat! I rarely order chicken schwarma plates because I am always afraid my chicken is going to come out dry and I can eat chicken at home, so it is always the gyro plate for me… with hummus & salad… PERFECTION!

It’s pretty good Greek food. The chicken shwarma is yummy along with the feta salad and hummus. I couldn’t care less about the rice pilaf. They so have whole wheat pita which is a plus for me! The restaurant itself had NEVER been full every time I’ve been in there. The service is pretty good. The portions are huge. It’s a good stop for lunch.

When I compare this place to their other store in downtown, which is complete awesomeness, it makes me sad and mad at the same time! This place smells horrible when you walk in — dated and gross, mostly always empty. The food is sad too. My chicken shawrma salad was bland, with a watery dressing, huge chunks of lettuce that I had a hard time eating and the chicken itself did not taste fresh what so ever., totally disappointed! Albasha Greek just a few minutes away is a much better option if you are feeling greek. What’s more, I did not like my spinach pie either — it was hard like it had been sitting out for too long! Additionally, even with take out the server was super curt and not interested. Will try not to come back here.
