Great little playground. Not quite on the level of some of the larger playgrounds Brec has in the area. The fenced off area and the large grassy area makes up for the scope of the equipment.

What a great playground and it’s so well maintained. The ground is built up around the equipment so there are no swampy areas. Most of the playground equipment has a mesh umbrella shielding it from the sun. Inside the playground/picnic area the grounds are filled with beautiful rose bushes and it has benches facing the golf course for those that love to watch golf. There is a large picnic pavilion in the center and you can reserve the entire playground area for a special event(there is a fee). This is a small kid friendly park. A fence surrounds the playground area making it easy to let the little ones play as you watch from one of the many covered bench areas. The clean bathrooms have lockers and generous counter space equipped with an electrical outlet. A nice touch if you have children still in diapers. The fitness machine room closed in January but the expensive unused equipment sits idle squashed together to one side of the small gym. I spoke to a BREC employee that told me the equipment wasn’t popular and they plan to move it to another location. Fitness program prices are here: The park has a senior center that offers art classes and an open studio program. I called and got a price of $ 28.00 a month for weekly classes but the *website quotes $ 24.00 so I am not sure which one applies. I did find out People’s health sponsors free watercolor classes every other month but it’s not posted on BREC’s website. I was told you have to look for an ad in the paper. The person I spoke with said you could call the first of July to find out more about the date if you don’t read the paper. I enjoyed my visit here and would love to return for the watercolor class in July or just to enjoy my lunch outdoors. This would be a 5 star park if it weren’t for the confusing fee schedules and the idle fitness machines. *
