I went expecting it to be more yoga and Pilates focused, but it felt like an aerobic class… I’m pretty sure the owner had to be a cheerleader back then in the day, because her counts reminded me of dance or cheer also. It was hard, don’t get me wrong, especially the leg work, but don’t go if you’re expecting an actual yoga practice. Also, I didn’t think there would be mirrors, but you can’t get away from them. I goto yoga to take my mind off of self criticism, so being told to look in the mirror the whole time was kind of annoying. Also, no chataranga and the down dog is like 2 seconds long. Everything is extremely fast paced, so with that being said, I feel like their name and description of the business is misleading. Other than that, friendly owner and instructors and large class! Not backed up against a road so it’s not loud, but it is kind of hidden. You’ll sweat.

This isn’t your run of the mill yoga. Yogalates is an extremely challenging and rewarding workout! I love this place! I had never done yoga before and really didn’t work out much before this. Now I’ve been completely hooked for 2 years! I’ve had almost every instructor, and they were all very nice and very helpful. I lived for a year in DC and couldn’t find another class even close to as good. So glad to be back at Yogalates!

These yoga classes are amazing. You literally work every muscle in your body. The keep the studio at 90 degrees, so you sweat a lot! Afterwards, you feel great. The teachers are fun and keep the class moving.
