Excellent Service. Food prepared in house. Family owned. Very nice people. Food was absolutely delicious. Very comfortable. Much different than the other middle eastern restaurants in Baton Rouge. Hope to get there frequently.

Stopped in for quick bite for lunch. And I know it’s a «culinary cliché» to order Chicken Shawarma Salad at a Middle Eastern Restaurant of any description. And yet I did. And I’m GLAD I did. Very nicely done. Generously portioned, tender well seasoned chicken. Just the right amount of dressing. Delicious! The other thing I have to say something about is the ATMOSPHERE. It was also a bonus. Very pleasantly decorated but not kitschy or over the top. The music was good — and matched the restaurants theme. The tables were situated such that you could feel a sense of privacy. The high ceilings absorbed some noise so conversation would have been easy. Just this part of things alone is worthy of a return trip. Throw in the food and you’ve got a winner.

Good clean attractive Mediterranean cuisine served to us today. Ordered combo platter, and chicken kabobs(which served very cool way). Service is great, everything is on time. Taking Kunafa home for my sweet cravings…

Very nice restaurant with a varieties of dishes to choose from, we came with some friends who are vegetarians and they enjoyed it very much as well. First off, it is priced kind of high but they do deliver a decent portion and great taste! Favorite things: Home made Rosemary bread with dipping oil! So amazing that 4 of us had 3 of them! Zoroona Chicken! The sauce is Ahamzing! It has mushrooms and artichoke with it, I dipped the home made Rosemary bread they have in it– heavenly! We got the mousaka-which contains eggplants, onions & peppers. I was looking forward to it but it wasn’t cold nor hot it was warm. it has lots of sauce so I felt like I need to have it with rice or noodles which it didn’t come with anything. We ordered hummus which came with nans but we weren’t not a fan of the nans, very hard and cold.

This place is so good that when my mom comes to visit she doesn’t even pretend like we might eat somewhere else. The rosemary bread is amazing. Hummus tastes fresh. The lamb chops and the lamb shank are phenomenal. If you’re in the mood for salad, they’ve got some a great ceasar! I was shocked to be able to get a table New Years Eve and the place wasn’t even full! Usually the servers are amazing, but I think sometimes they are slightly under staffed because when the place is full it can be difficult to get someone’s attention.

Up front: Great food, service, and price. Solid Mediterranean food! This is our go-to, «not sure where we want to eat tonight» place! Gyros and kebabs are excellent, and portions are generous. Two entrees come with salads and their signature rosemary bread with olive oil to dip. Highly recommended, never a disappointment!

I came here last night for the Restaurant Week special. It was $ 20 for a three course meal. When I arrived, I was greeted with complimentary rosemary bread and olive oil. The bread was hot and fresh. For my appetizer, I got the feta salad, which was fine, just a little tart for my taste. For my entrée, I got the Zoroona Chicken with a side of baba ghanoush and sauteed potatoes. The chicken was great! Super moist and they weren’t skimpy! I had enough for lunch the next day. Sides were good also. The dessert I ordered was the chocolate cake and wowzers that was a lot of chocolate at once! It was pretty dense. I had to finish that at home. Altogether, I would definitely come back again. The service was great and the food was delicious!

I am so glad that we decided to give this place a try. The food was absolutely delicious. My Greek salad was good and flavorful, my hummus and pita bread was fresh and yummy, and my gyro was mouthwatering and delicious. My gyro actually stayed wrapped up very tight which made eating it an ease. The Rosemary bread was as good as the reviews state. We actually went for lunch but decided to order off the dinner menu so we could get 2 sides instead of 1. Also, the Rosemary bread and dipping sauce only come with the dinner courses not the lunch courses. It wasn’t brought out so we asked for it and the waitress eagerly brought it out. The décor is so beautiful inside and made me dream of being whisked away to Greece in that moment. It’s a very beautiful restaurant and the food is very good. I would highly recommend this restaurant to others.

Had shrimp kabob. Well presented and good flavor. Shrimp became cold fast. They served a variation of a roll with olive oil at beginning. That is new. Just not as good experience when only one other table seated. Do not like being in empty. Also do not like having to use my salad fork for entrée. Are forks that expensive that you can not place 2 in the roll ups. This is not a good sign of a thoughtful restaurant. Cheap! Little things could make another star here.,
We’ve been here a few times before. We are pretty loyal to Albasha’s, so we usually end up there. Today we came here because I wanted arayes and beef shawarma. The good: The décor is awesome. The bread they bring out with oil is warm and delicious. Our food was, overall, very good. We had a gyros wrap, beef shawarma, combo Mediterranean salad, and a kids cheeseburger with fries. A pretty good selection. The bad: ordered 4 waters with no lemon. 2 came without lemon. 2 came with lemon. They no longer have arayes on the menu and didn’t offer to make it when I asked about it. We ordered the fried cheese(a long time favorite). They brought out 5 pieces instead of 6, which is what’s stated in the menu. When I asked the waiter about it, he scoffed and went on as if I hadn’t said anything. I mentioned it again and I showed him in the menu where it states 6 pieces of cheese. He did correct it from there. We had 2 side salads, the size difference was amazing(see photo). One just seemed like it was waiting to grow up to be like the daddy side salad. It doesn’t matter if they are large or small, but consistent would be good. especially when they’re going to the same table.

Yummy yummy Greek cuisine in a totally cool themed restaurant! Of course I love anyplace that goes all out with their theme! Everyone that helped us were super friendly and the food was very authentic. My daughter and I both loved the hummus and the pita bread was great! The Greek pizza was really great too! We will definitely be going back! Maybe they will have some belly dancers next time! LOL

Tucked away in the corner of a not so lovely shopping center lies an Oasis named Zoroona Mediterranean Grill. Based on the Unilocal reviews I was confident my dining experience would be a good one, and for the most part it was. I loved the ambiance but maybe I should have chosen another day to try this Unilocal favorite. First the food: The famous rosemary bread seemed undercooked(our loaf was white, not the least bit browned like others pictured and a little gummy) but still had flavor or maybe it was the dip that had flavor. We arrived hungry and really looked forward to the Rosemary bread experience so this was a big disappointment. The spinach pie appetizer was good but not something I would order again. The small salad was the perfect size and very fresh. I chose Basmati rice and vegetable Musaka as my sides, both were delicious and perfectly cooked. The Zoroona Chicken was the highlight of my dining experience and I would definitely order this again. Soooo delicious it made up for the rubbery pita bread with hard inedible edges. I am so glad I read the reviews that steered me toward this entrée. Now the service: Warm cordial greeting and immediate seating. The waiter started out great and was very attentive. The only caveat was after the initial order he kept saying«no I’m sorry we can’t» in a kidding way when we asked for everything from more ice to our to go containers. It took away from the experience for both myself and my guest. He always said. «just kidding» but I felt this type of service belonged more at Chili’s than at this lovely place. Maybe it’s a Sunday night thing, or we just got the waiter on a strange night. I will definitely revisit Zoroona in the future and give them another try. It was still a four star experience thanks to the excellent Zoroona Chicken, flavorful sides and beautiful surroundings.

This place is a lot nicer on the inside than I expected based on the outside. The service was wonderful. They serve you this rosemary bread with an olive oil type dip. It is pretty great, maybe a bit dry… so I just dip it in some more olive oil. Yum. My beef kebobs were great, a good portion and it also came with a nice vegetable kebab. It was all very well seasoned. The entrée came with a soup or salad, and the lentil soup is delicious. Very filling and goes well with the rosemary bread.

Everything I’ve every wanted in Greek/Mediterranean food! We initially saw this restaurant in ads for the upcoming Restaurant Week… but I wanted Greek/Mediterranean and I wanted it NOW! Up on entering, we were greeted nicely by the hostess. She brought us into the dining area and it was COMPLETELYEMPTY… at dinner time… were we making a mistake? Our waitress, Lynn, came over and was very friendly and provided superb service! But onto the food. For appetizers, we ordered the fried cheese to share and I ordered a Mediterranean salad with chicken. When the salad came out it was huge and loaded with chicken! And… it was delicious! The chicken was moist and flavorful, the salad wasn’t drenched in dressing, and I savored every bite! The fried cheese was delicious. It tasted like the quality of cheese was higher here than in other Greek/Mediterranean restaurants in the area. For my entrée, I ordered a gyro pizza. This pizza was… everything I’ve every wanted. I’ve been trying to get a gyro pizza for some months(every time I asked at other restaurants for some reason they weren’t cooking pizza at that time) and finally… I got it. The gyro meat was layered on generously, the tomato sauce tasted like it was made from delicious roasted red tomatoes, and the crust was baked to perfection. I don’t understand why the place was empty… it shouldn’t be. Give this place a try and get a delicious Greek/Mediterranean meal!

I really liked this Greek restaurant better than Albasha Lebanese. The food here was 10x better. My favorite things on Greek menus actually tasted good and how it should. I love baba ghonoush and I liked the one there. I also had falafel that was crispy and yummy. My boyfriend had chicken shawarma and the chicken was excellent. He always lets me try his food. If you go 8pm and after you’ll basically be having a private dinner. The service was great and the food was hot and fresh even though they were 45 min from close. I can’t wait to try the recommended zoorona chicken next time we go :)
