The worker’s were very friendly when I walked in. They let me browse and didn’t pressure me…(THANKYOU!) … There were great examples of knitting with different types of yarn(hung by the yarn) and that was nice to see. There was not a single shred of crochet in the store, not a magazine, not a pattern, not an example… all knitting. The fibers were gorgeous and competitively priced with other yarn stores in the area. The seating area was large and as I was leaving a crowd was coming in and taking up the seating. I took this to be a good sign of a supportive learning environment. I asked the clerk if they only taught knitting classes and she said, «Yes.» My only disappointment was that they do not carry lace weight yarn. She had three skeins of Madeline Tosh and some light fingering weight that would probably work as a substitute if you aren’t picky about lace shawls being a little heavy. Great store! I will return :)

The shop owner greeted me when I came in, gave me my space when I wanted to browse, and answered my questions. There were wonderful examples of knitting, however, not all of them were label(if I had wanted to know the pattern). They have a great area for knitting, with lots of seating options. Prices were clearly marked, and yarn was organized with brand/type by color. I couldn’t tell if they were crochet-friendly, but they were able to suggest other stores closer to home for me.
