We hired this attorney for a defense suit and definitely wish we had not. He did not appear organized and didn’t seem to make progress on our case. He set forth expectations and didn’t follow through. I found myself making excuses for him. When we finally got to court, right before he spoke he changed the plan on us. I tried to speak to the judge instead of him, to articulate what it was he stated he was going to say, and we expected him to say, but the judge wouldn’t hear us since we had an attorney– Very suck! I remember thinking that day, he might as well of been hired by the other party. Needless to say, we didn’t use him after that. But sadly we were too far along in our case to start new with someone else. We tried on our own and lost, but really the final settlement wasn’t too bad all things considered, and was less than what we’d spent on him over the prior year which got us no where or what we would have been charged if he were there during the finsl trial. I can say however, his actual charges for those hours he put in seemed fair– as in not padded, which I believe is pretty common in the ethically challenged legal field. Of course, over paying a successful attorney might have been better than this experience.
