Baxley Airport

The fuel was reasonably priced, Dick’s Wings was great and the overnight accommodations were superb. I only regret that I could not thank Tyler personally due to an early departure. We will make Baxley a regular stop from now on.

Once again, storm dodging on a cross-​country flight had changed our fuel situation, requiring that we stopped a little sooner than planned. We picked Baxley off of our GPS app based on location and great fuel prices, it turned out to be a perfect stop.
We didn’t encounter any other humans while we were there, but it was very nicely set up for pilots to take care of themselves. The fridge was stocked with snack fixings and a donation jar. Fuel was easy and a great price. And the space was super comfortable and relaxing. It would be a great spot to stop and ride out some bad weather. I don’t believe it is terribly close to town, but it looked like they had a van out front, so there may be a way in to town when the FBO is staffed.
