Ribs were dry, BBQ sauce was not up to par with my taste.

When first opened was great, Friday 8−1−14 stopped for take out, ordered half slab (6 bones) according to their menu, got home, 4 bones in container, slice of bread given actually had mold on it, major disappointment, don’t think I will be back.

My fiancé at I tried this place for the first time tonight, very good food, very friendly service. The ribs are great — love the sauce! and the fried chicken is delicious! The baked beans aren’t anything to write home about, but they were pretty good. The potato salad tasted fresh with some crisp celery and onions in it. The mac and cheese is very good as well.

I stopped in here a few weeks ago when visiting a family member if a nearby hospital. I ordered the ribs with a couple of sides.
I was welcomed into the business and felt wanted. That is always a good start to a mom and pop shop. It was clean and tidy so no red flags.
Everything looked good as far as food and the appearance of the ribs were good. However, I must have been served the first ribs that were off the grill. They were almost unedible due to the taste of lighter fluid. Yikes! As someone who lives in a bbq area and has had some world renown bbq from Texas to Memphis and all points in between I can tell you that the taste was not good. HOWEVER, I vehemetly would argue that this place deserves a visit. I believe is was a major mistake and that it wasn’t intentional.
Everything else was very good, including the baked on site bread. I wish I lived closer to tray it again but will make it a point to visit next time I am in the area.

Friends don’t let friends eat at bare bones
Take out only apparently… Thy have a few tables but the cook is your waitress and your food is served in a to-​go box. Your «bread» is a slice of aunt Millie’s in a sandwich bag. Confusing menu… My bf and I asked if one «dinner» would b enough to share since we both weren’t too hungry… Lady said we would each want our own… Definitely not. The portions were huge. We both got rib tip… TERRIBLE! Burnt n hard.!not fall off the bone like you’d expect. Price was good for the portions but the tips were terrible. we let our waitress/​cook know we weren’t impressed so hopefully whoever dares to enter next has a better experience. We won’t be back.
