Latitude 43

Outstanding dinner, service was perfect. We will return. We were in town for an appointment and my family and I decided to come here for dinner. My daughter had the California Burger, my husband had the California Rueben, and I had the Seafood Linguini. I also enjoyed a few cocktails and the Island Blossom was fab. Everything tasted amazing and we will surely come back whenever we are in town and need to have dinner! Great experience!

Just had to try this place. You see the parking lot almost full daily which to me is an indication of good food. They have their appetizers on special on certain days. My husband an I came in for Prime rib but alas, they only serve it on Fridays. I’m not sure if they serve it on Saturdays.
We decided to stay and there was standing room only. The appetizers were on special. We found two seats at the bar and ate dinners there. I ordered the salmon, which was awesome. My husband ordered some kind of steak and he said it was very good. All the sides that came with our meal was great too.
The waitress (bartender) was super friendly and brought our meals out in a timely fashion. We asked for extra napkins and refill on our drinks, she promptly brought them.
It it quite loud and the tables are close together. So close you could talk to someone at the next table without shouting.
People we know have raved about their prime rib. We will return on a Friday and I will post a review about their prime rib.

Had a great dinner here with friends. Megan was a great waitress, very attentive and professional. Ribeye was done to perfection… great flavor as were the red skin roasted potatoes. The calamari appetizer was a perfect portion for 4. Friends who were here for the first time, was very pleased. Great atmosphere too! Absolutely will be back.

Visiting this area in Feb and didn’t expect much at 10pm on a raining and cold night (this was the only place that was still open but did have good reviews). Ordered takeout for wine marinated salmon with steamed veggie and fried yam sides. It was one of the best meals I have had even compared with many of the very fine restaurants in the country. Nothing fancy but everything was done at the right temp (instructed not to over cook the salmon) which is not so easy to do. Veggies were fresh and steamed to perfection with bright colors and fish was very fresh. Fried yam was tasty and not dry. Great chef. Give it a try.

I’m in town for work and I’m always looking for a good local restaurant. I try to stay away from the chain restaurants when traveling. Unfortunately, this place is not much better than Applebee’s. The only reason I’m here tonight is because I had to pickup my clothes from the laundromat. The locals love this place but I’ve had much better. Maybe a two star rating is a little harsh but I like good food and they don’t have it.

Great food, chef quality ! Good atmosphere. Sevice was good. For Bay city I’d say a must ! Will definitely come back again.

I live this place, nothing like starting off a great meal with an ice cold beer. Get the kettle chips, a bit thicker than normal but better tasting. Food is very good and I look forward to going again

The décor is contemporary, yet lazy and leaves a bit to be desired. The menu, while extensive, is boring and offers very little for vegetarians, and practically nothing for vegans. The flavors are mediocre at best. The service is sub-​par, and the prices are anywhere from average to slightly pricy for the experience, depending on food you choose. Nothing to write home about, yet not completely disgusting.

I’ve never had a bad meal here. The staff are always quite friendly (especially Krystal), the food comes out in a rather brisk amount of time (even when they are busy), and the prices are very reasonable.

First time at Latitude 43, had a bit of a wait, about 20 to 30 minutes, but it was well worth it! Wait staff was attentive and very pleasant. The appetizers yummy (we had the lamb sliders and fried calamari.) The entrees were excellent, especially the steaks. I highly recommend!

We came here for the first time after driving by for quite some time. Boy, do I wish we would have come here years ago. I had a 14 oz rib eye done medium rare, mashed potatoes, caesar salad and roll. My husband had the grilled shrimp, jasmine rice and dinner roll with cottage cheese. My steak was by far, THE juiciest, most tender and flavor packed steak I have ever had. Husband’s shrimp was super delicious. Not rubbery/​overcooked. Everything tasted 100% homemade. I cannot wait to go back. Make sure you stop. You won’t be disappointed.

Latitude 43 catered my daughters wedding. I can not say enough wonderful things about this establishment! Ray was SO accommodating as I made phone calls to him and changed my mind a few time. The food was absolutely amazing!!! And the customer service was out of this world! A great product AND wonderful customer service all in one, you just don’t find that anymore! For the record we ate at the restaurant Thursday before the wedding, it was so good we went back Friday and then enjoyed again at the wedding reception on Saturday!!! We live in Florida but you can be sure every time we are in Bay City we will visit Latitude 43!

Recently had the prime rib, OMG, awesome, smoked in house. Best cut of beef this side of Chicago I’ve ever had.

Recommended by Desk Clerk at the Holiday Inn Express. I was very happy with this place. Food was great. Steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Bartender (Allison) was exceptional.

My family came last night for dinner. It was a crazy wait but that was to be expected on NYE. We had some drinks in the meantime and I think their drinks are reasonably priced and they are heavy handed on the alcohol. I think their draft beer was $ 4 which is cheap and most martinis were around $ 7. I got two martinis and I felt I definitely got my money’s worth in terms of alcohol, but they still tasted good.
We were finally seated and our waitress was prompt and friendly. We ordered the buffalo shrimp and calamari as appetizers. Both were really good. The shrimp were huge and cooked perfectly, deveined by hand it looked like. The calamari were also thick rings and not overbattered. The appetizers were the best part of the meal, in my opinion.
I got the blackened salmon with roasted redskins and coleslaw. I wish their sides had been a little more upscale and varied but it is Bay City, I guess they have to sell to a certain crowd. My salmon was really dry which was my one big beef for the evening. The coleslaw was obviously made in house but they used too much mayo and it could have used a bit more flavor. The potatoes were okay, nothing special.
Everyone else liked their food and finished their plates. I was surprised at how good my dad’s steak looked. Usually if a steak is under $ 20, it’s a low quality piece of meat but it looked really juicy and wasn’t full of fat/​gristle. Overall, the food was good, especially for the price. I think for four drinks, five entrees, two appetizers, and one dessert with tip is was $ 145. That’s crazy.

My husband and I went here last night for a date night. Everything was great. The food, the service and the beer selection. I’ve had a Unilocal for a while and this is my first review because I wanted to ensure people knew this place was legit.
We had buffalo shrimp for an appetizer and wow they exceeded our expectations. The side salad was giant and served with good ranch. I had the penne Alfredo with shrimp, also fabulous. My husband had prime rib and would not stop going on about how good it was.
I would definitely come here again. It is a little on the pricer side but worth every penny. Any cheaper and maybe the quality wouldn’t be as good.

Dinner with the Good time guys while in town from L.A. What a good time time of food, drink & laughter. Prime rib perfect, ribs great, drinks just right. Britney you was the beat ;-’)

Seated immediately, waitstaff was attentive, food was AMAZING! The owner talked to us at length and was genuinely interested in our feedback. When you come, be sure to get the turkey noodle soup and the deep fried smore.

Start to finish, this place is amazing! Attentive staff, amazing food, great atmosphere, reasonable prices! Love love loved! Highly recommend! Had the Latitude Skins (yum!), Asiago Shrimp Pasta, Deep Fried S’more (OMG!)

Made a little trip to this part of state for a random getaway and found this nice little place thanks to Unilocal!
The previous reviews put us in the mood for steak. The two of us got in for a late night weekend dinner, but just enough time to order before the kitchen closed. Our server was friendly and recommended the Prime Rib over the NY Strip. We’ll never know which was the better choice, but this one was just right. Tender, medium-​rare and only for $ 15.99. Highly recommended.
Ambiance and décor was great, but layout and furnishings felt kind of like a Bill Knapps, which is unusual for a nice establishment. That said, I bet family friendly with plenty of space for high chairs, strollers, wheel chairs.
