I walked in today to have a martini. The bartender somewhat dismissed what I asked for and demanded an identification card. As I was pulling out my identification I jokingly asked«how old do you think I am», with a smile. She rudely said«I don’t know, that’s why I asked for your identification.» I handed over my proof of being close to 30. She then let me know she didn’t have either gin I wanted, at this point I would have said«house scotch on the rocks is fine» however, I almost felt insulted at her initial attitude. I left, and will not return. This is probably the fourth or so attempt to visit this establishment, ending in a lack of customer service. The same thing transpired at another bar right after, the bartender was much more cheerful and open to conversation. She didn’t act like I was wasting her time.

After having heard about O’Hares’ hamburger being one of Michigan’s best, my family and I thought it wise to check out this local bar/grill. We ordered our drinks and ordered Sunday’s special. We received our drinks within seconds and were expecting the same fleeting wait for our food, but unfortunately were disappointed. One and half hours later… still no burgers. We consulted our server about our concern and they immediately reassured us that our burgers were almost done. Fifteen minutes later… still no burgers. Several other customers who were seated after us were getting their food while we still hadn’t received an appetizer. Perhaps O’Hares should reconsider its one-server-one-frycook method and employ more cooperative and brisk workers…

Shitty place overall. Warm, expired beer. Fruit flys in the drinks. Old liquor in the bottles. All the condiments were expired. Awful place all around. I worked there so I got to see all the nasty messed up things, especially the owner. Rude prick.

Owner standing at the end of the bar like a naxi guard making sure his staff didn’t pour too much booze in a drink, while watching two old barflys scream at each other, service was a well below zero rating, 78deg with 82% humidity and still no AC, never, never will I be back. Really? What a dive!

I am writing a comment on Michigan St Pub. We were in there on Sunday afternoon 5÷10÷15 Our waitress Malori was excellent! We came in to have $ 1 burgers and I guess that’s why they are $ 1 cold buns and not very good tasting. Miller lite on tap was warm we told our waitress and she told the bar manager on other side and our waitress came back and said she said the beer is fine. What the hell! Bar manager did not even come over to tell us that or to see the problem. Bad management all around that place! Our service from our waitress was great other then that it sucked! Went down to the Rat and had cold beer. Better check or clean beer lines and manage that place better. I remember that place being great 15 yrs ago what happened???

A happening spot on the great Midland St. but, i feel they are understaffed and you end up waiting on average ten minutes for a drink. They have DJ music every Friday and Saturday and people are grinding making it impossible to move around. Extremely warm inside the bar creating sticky situations with the dance crowd. The bouncers are very nice and respectful. They also have good food during the day.

For a neighborhood joint; this is one of our favorites. Don’t expect gourmet food or appetizers; but these guys do a great«Bar Food» business. Various specials are available on different nights. Starting September 3rd they will be featuring Prime Rib on Thursdays. Very reasonable pricing with old time saloon atmosphere, very attentive servers, and music on some nights. Lower your expectations and get ready for a fun time.
