Worth stopping in for the ambiance and air conditioning. Cinnamon roll just was just ok. I thought the chocolate croissant was better. There’s Gaston’s chair which the kids got a kick out of sitting in.

I went to Magic Kingdom with 3 of my best friends I haven’t seen since January and we were all dressed up in tshirts and tutu’s we made for that day. Trying to escape the insane heat we went into Gaston’s tavern to see if we could just get some iced water and cool off. We struck up a conversation with a Cast Member named Nanave and she said she loved our outfits and gave us 4 Lefou Brew’s on the house! She was so friendly and courteous and she completely made our day! :) we will be back!

When the weather is burning hot outside, there are plenty of seats in Gaston’s Tavern to cool off. Their focus is having lots of pastry items and sweets mainly for the women and children. However, their selling point that I feel is totally underappreciated is the Lefou’s Brew. It’s $ 4.49 for a medium-sized cup but it’s absolutely to die for. It’s a worthy alternative after the pineapple dole whip. Imagine a drink that consists of an apple cider slushy with foam-like creamy marshmallow on top. You can ask for a sample for it, and they nearly give you the entire cup. If I didn’t have the breakfast buffet, I would have had more of this. It’s the perfect drink for the summer weather if the pineapple ice cream is too heavy to eat.

I’m giving this place 3 stars because we only tried one thing… otherwise I would’ve only given it one or two stars based on the one thing we got. I was so looking forward to getting a yummy cinnamon roll in DWorld but Gaston’s Tavern let me down. They were huge but very dry with not much flavor unfortunately. Skimpy on the cinnamon and frosting. We didn’t try anything else so I’m giving this place the benefit of the doubt, hoping other food there is better.

Great place to stop in for some cinnamon rolls and chocolate croissant in between rides. Had small tables inside with air conditioning to get out of the heat and even ham and cheese stuffed pretzels if you wanted to make a quick meal out of your stop in

The speciality drink wasn’t so good. I have to say that’s the one thing Universal Studios beat them with. The butter beer there is outstanding. However! The cinnamon bun was OUTSTANDING. That alone warrants a 5 star rating. The inside was soft and moist while the top was slightly hardened and covered in icing. Don’t pass one of these up

Nice, tucked away spot in Fantasyland for a quick breakfast or snack at the Magic Kingdom. They offer cinnamon rolls, chocolate pastries, fruit, a beef stew, hummus and chips, various«brews,» and other caffeinated and non-caffeinated beverages. One morning we ordered two pastries and mixed fruit and they mistakingly only charged us for one pastry. Upon me pointing this out, they refused to accept money to cover the difference. Apparently, one of our pastries was on Mickey!

It was a chilly day but I wanted to try the Le fous brew and it did not disappoint! It’s a frozen apple juice with toasted marshmallows and mango foam. Yumm! They have a winter version of the drink but I was craving something fruity!

If you want a Disney version of the butter beer, come here! It falls short of competing with the butter beer at Universal, but at least Disney has their own version. ~ LEFOU’S BREW($ 4.49): The drink is frozen apple juice and toasted marshmallow topped with passion fruit/mango foam. It really is a fruity summer version of the butter beer! However, the only thing that was good about this drink was the foam. I’m really not sure how they make this, but it definitely made the drink unique! The drink otherwise is like a normal slushy. + TAVERNBEEFSTEW($ 9.99): This stew was pretty substantial, including pieces of shredded beef and hearty vegetables, including carrots and potatoes. However, for the price I definitely thought this was expensive! — CINNAMONROLL($ 4.49): You get a hefty sized cinnamon roll that is slightly warm, but it’s just average. — CHOCOLATECROISSANT($ 3.59): You cannot get this chocolate croissant warmed up, which probably would have made this better. It is just your average croissant, like you could get at Starbucks. The tavern itself is so cute, reminding me of when Gaston was bragging about how he could get Belle to everyone. A Gaston character is usually right outside the tavern, accompanied by a long line to meet him. They are great actors and portray Gaston’s character perfectly!

Came on a cold winter night. The beef stew did the trick! It was delicious too. Wish they had a way to serve Lefou’s brew hot! Especially when its below 50 degrees outside… Nonetheless, really enjoyed the décor in here!

This review is strictly fo Le Fou’s Brew. The tavern itself was fantastic and had a great vibe and Disney feel to it. The drink was a swing and miss for me. It was one of the few treats I had researched it prior to my visit. Frozen apple juice, toasted marshmallow syrup and topped with a passion fruit-mango foam. Sounded ridiculously good to me but it was a let down. The first swig was this smoky apple with a tropical fruit twist taste and I thought we were in business, but however I tried I could never get that taste again and I was stuck with a off putting Apple slushy. Wouldn’t get again but I enjoyed the experience of drinking at Gaston’s.

Giving this review under protest. One of the things I looked forward to the most was an item called THEPORKSHANK. It’s one big bone of swine greasy deliciousness!!! And it’s gone. Hurts my heart. So I’m ticked. Like I planned my day around it. However, they do have a redeeming quality in this amazing pastry called a cinnamon roll. That thing is just good. It’s something you have to experience

Extremely bummed that we too came a day too late for the pork shank. It was best entrée in magic kingdom. If I had known that yesterday was the last day I would have made arrangements since it’s that good. I heard that there was either a licensing issue or that Gaston didn’t want it getting cold in the Winter(but that’s the best time to eat it when it’s hot). The cinnamon bun is average at best and doesn’t come close to Cinnabon. The LaFou brew is an apple slushy that comes in at the same price as the cinnamon bun. I would have happily paid the $ 9.99 to enjoy the pork shank instead. So if you’re looking for shank, it just got shanked.

Gaston’s Tavern has taken the protein game to the next level. Pork shank. Just do it. Disney food is often disappointing and overpriced but this is one of the better deals at Magic Kingdom park. Located in Fantasyland. My fella and I are able to easily share the pork shank. Plenty for both us.

The first thing that caught my eye was the pork shank! It reminded me of the giant turkey leg from Disneyland. I had to try it! They don’t have this in California. It was delicious and moist. So LEHEPPY.

Great new find! I love turkey legs and this time around the pork shank wins! The pork is less salty and fall off the bone. I didn’t even need to use a knife. The LeFou’s brew tastes like frozen sparking cider w a sourish whip topping. A must try, my kids enjoyed it.

It was rainy and cold but we had to get a cinnamon roll from Gaston’s Tavern. We sat outside in the dark on these large stools at these round tables. The cinnamon roll is quite large, which makes it perfect for sharing, and I’m surprised at the relatively low cost of it for a Disney park snack. Don’t pass up on it, even though it is a bit out of the way from the center of the park — quite literally, it is on the top right corner of Magic Kingdom. But the slight, out of the way walk is worth it.

Best cinnamon roll ever! These cinnamon rolls are big enough for 2 people(or more) to share. Priced at $ 4.19 it is worth the money. If you are on the Disney dining plan it is 1 snack credit. By far the best snack at the Magic Kingdom. We were at the MK two different days and we had each day. The theme of the restaurant is Beauty & the Beast. Gaston is a character in the movie. While we were sitting inside eating our cinnamon roll, Gaston came busting in to the restaurant yelling«No one sits in Gastons chair» and he left. It was so funny.

The reviews are true! The pork shank served here at Gaston’s Tavern is legit. It is SO delicious, and far, far more worth your money than any standard theme park gigantic turkey leg, let me tell you. It is fall-off-the-bone goodness, and I am so, so, so glad that I looked up our dining options on Unilocal and was able to find this place. Plus, this place looks just like the Tavern from Beauty & the Beast, complete with antlers used in all of the deeeecorating, so there’s that. PLUS, this place serves«LeFou’s Brew,» a frozen applejuice drink that is almost — almost — as good as frozen Butterbeer over at Universal Studios. Not quite as tantalizingly tasty, but pretty darn good, and equally as diabetes inducing. Unlike the main restaurants in the park, Gaston’s Tavern is much more casual and tucked a little bit further out of the way, so there was no line and some open tables when we ventured in for lunch. It’s air-conditioned and you can usually find Gaston hanging around outside. The cinnamon roll is ENORMOUS as well, and while food items seem overpriced by normal standards, A) this is a theme park, so duh, and B) you really get a lot for what you end up paying. Both the cinnamon roll and pork shank are definitely big enough to share with 2 — 3 folks. Yum-o. My, what a guy, Gaston!

If you think the turkey legs at Walt Disney World are amazing, then you absolutely must try one of the pork shanks from Gaston’s Tavern. They truly are better than the turkey legs… I promise! So juicy and delicious. One pork shank is more than enough for two to share; although, when we finished it, my hubby was literally nibbling on the bone making sure he got every last morsel of the pork. LOL LeFou’s Brew is a must try. Unlike the Butterbeer over at Universal Studios which is way too sweet, in my opinion, LeFou’s Brew has just the perfect amount of sweetness. You can get it in your choice of a souvenir plastic cup(a mug with Beast on it or a golden goblet with a rose on one side and Belle on the other ) or you can get it in a regular cup. The price is $ 9.99 in one of the souvenir cups and $ 4.49 in a regular cup. I opted to go without the souvenir cup… Lord knows I have enough Disney stuff all over my house as it is! :D They also two types of pastries: a warm cinnamon roll and a chocolate croissant. Hubby and I shared the chocolate croissant. Actually, he ended up eating most of it, which surprised me because he is not one to eat sweets. It had just the perfect amount of chocolate to not be overly sweet for him. Yay… I’ve discovered a sweet treat for him! I love the entire feel of Gaston’s Tavern. It’s dimly lit with stools at the tables. The décor is wonderful. It makes me feel as if Gaston could really walk in the door at any moment. When the Magic Kingdom is open late(midnight and later), you’ll find most of the quick service restaurants start closing down early. Gaston’s is generally always open until the Park closes. This makes it the perfect place to stop if you find yourself needing a snack late at night.
