If you follow the rules, pay attention to what people say on line about the best ways to do this, the process will be seamless. Make sure you make your reservations on the earliest possible date you can. Plan out everything you possibly can. Here’s another tip. if you have dining plan, DON’T SCHEDULE breakfast. Especially do not schedule a late breakfast as service tends to be bad and if it is character dining, they will rush through. Why not breakfast? It isn’t an issue with the food. it is breakfast for crying out loud. If they can’t pull off breakfast, they should shut the doors of the place. No, it is because breakfast is always the cheapest meal. Get your money worth and schedule lunch or dinner. The meals are typically better at many of the sit downs, anyway. The buffets are definitely better, IMHO. Disney also has a really nice online reservation system. I recommend using it.

Once you actually get someone on the line, they’re super helpful and friendly. The automated system you have to deal with, though, is super unhelpful. The app and website are easy to use and navigate. And it is really easy to modify and cancel reservations via the app or website. Definitely be sure to make reservations — restaurants fill up quickly and the one night we didn’t have reservations, we tried 5 places(all of which were completely booked with reservations and were not accepting walk-ins) before we found a place able to seat us(with a long wait, of course).

So easy to use, both online and the phone service. We were able to get reservations for each night, even if the time isn’t our first choice(my fault, I thought it was closer to the trip to start… oops). I love this service. I have only had a couple issues, one with phone(the reservation won’t link to my plans, calling to resolve tonight), and a couple online(it wouldn’t let me make them and by the time I got it working, the tables were gone!!). Still 5 stars though!

Online. One can make reservations 180 days before your visit. Jump online and do it or you will miss the most popular restaurants.

This is one area of the Disney experience that I really can’t complain about. While we always make our initial reservations online months in advance, on this trip I had to change an ADR on the fly due to Disney’s suck bus system which caused us to miss a reservation by taking twice as long as it should have to get to where we were going. After that I attempted to remedy things via our hotel’s concierge just to find out that he was an idiot so as a last ditch effort I made the call to Disney Dining and the rep. very clearly gave me my choices and I was able to pick something quick, simple and easy. In the end the restaurant we went to(Capt’n Jacks) was horrible but that wasn’t her fault that was mine for picking a place that blew. I had no issues with calls dropping or anything weird and the rep. I spoke with was knowledgeable and friendly and overall I would not hesitate to call in the future as opposed to visiting cast members either at a park or a hotel concierge.

I love the online dining reservations! I wish they had this option at Disneyland as well! I just finished booking all of my dining reservations for my trip to WDW in February, including the brand new(not even open yet!) Be Our Guest restaurant at MK! And even though February is so far away, there were still only 2 reservation times left on the day I wanted to go! Sometimes it takes them a bit longer to load lunch reservations into their system than dinner ones(Le Cellier at Epcot just loaded their lunch tables today, when I should have been able to book a table there 2 weeks ago). PLANEARLY! And use the online service — no waiting on hold(although the cast members are always helpful!). So easy and convenient. Everything I need for my trip is already booked! Is it February yet?

I’m pretty happy that they’ve introduced the online service. Its very easy to make reservations now. Hardcore planners mark the 180 days to their trip as a very important one since its dining reservation day. I would have never believed that some of these restaurants become completely booked this far in advance but they really do. If your kid is driving you crazy about eating with Cinderella in the Magic Kingdom, just be a champ and make the reservations the second you can. Usually, when making a lot of reservations at once, however, its much easier to just call in 407-WDW-DINE instead.

I used this service a few times to make reservations for dinner way in advance. Each time, it has been a very pleasurable experience. No complaints here.

Apparently they are re-vamping their automated system which is good because both times I called I got all the way through thr(easy to use) system and at the end they ask you to say and spell your name. It did not work and then i got put on hold for an agent — and said agent never same(call was dropped BOTH times)/ I wound up going to Guest Services in the park to make the reservations.

I love Disney’s online Dining Reservation site. A few years ago when I went to Disney World and made my restaurant reservations, I would have to call to make them all and call to make any changes. It was so time consuming! Now, I can do it all online. I absolutely love it! The online dining is fantastic for seeing what’s available when, in which park, what type of food, what’s on the dining plan, tons of great filters. Eating restaurants is one of the highlights of our Disney trips and the online reservations make it all so easy! I frequent and you can often find people canceling their reservations as the dates get closer, plus you can help give your canceled reservations to people on there. Coordinating with fellow Disney fans is so helpful!

I can’t even begin to attempt to know the number of times I’ve called 407-WDW-Dine to make reservations. I’m constantly at Disney and I’m constantly making reservations. On numerous occasions I’ve even been inside one of the Parks and called to make a reservation at the last minute. Generally, I have a particular restaurant in mind, but when a reservation is unavailable at my restaurant of choice, they really go above and beyond to search throughout the Resort area for other dining options. If you really want to get into a particular restaurant, never give up hope because people do cancel. Just be persistent and keep calling again and again to check. Don’t just call once and say, «oh well» to yourself. Once when I called to make reservations for Via Napoli, I happened to mention I had been trying to get a reservation for Le Cellier forever and was told the caller before me had just cancelled. Granted, the reservation for Le Cellier was 4 months away, but you better believe I took it! :) Also, if you get someone on the line who really does go out of their way to help you out, once they hang up with you, please stay on the line and do the short little survey which gives feedback for the Cast Member you were just speaking with. It really helps them out and only takes a minute of your time. :)

Another thing that Disney finds to do quite simply. You call them, tell them where you want to eat, around what time and they tell you what’s available. Locally the number is extremely easy to remember 407-WDW-Dine. No excuse not to know where to call. Just remember if you’re looking at eating in one of the 4 parks, you have to have a park ticket(around $ 82). Some of the best places to eat on Disney property are at the resorts anyways so you won’t miss out on any amazingness if you’re in town and don’t have a park ticket.
