A very small store, has some minimal amt. food items in the rear of the store — milk, cookies, chips, some toiletries. The mid to front of the store are the usual t shirts, picture frames, pins, hats, watches, etc. Prices are the same as at the park but there are some items unique to the lodge that you may not find in the park.

The Wilderness Lodge Mercantile is a very handy store located on the Disney Wilderness Lodge resort. This place has everything from swim wear(which we purchased for a swim in the resort pools) to wilderness lodge themed toys and collectables for the kids to an entire range of standard Disney popular toys to medicines, toiletries and even frozen meals and other food and drinks. We made quite a few stops in the store and I was happy with the selection, brows-ability and the friendliness of the staff.

Every Disney resort has a themed gift shop located in their lobby. Wilderness Lodge Mercantile just so happens to be one of my favorite. On this trip I stayed in a different resort, but had occasion to visit this shop while dining in the lobby restaurant. Since it was located in the Wilderness Lodge, there were all sorts of wilderness and outdoor themed items. The items I found to be particularly interesting were the stuffed animals and the rocks. That’s quite the combination don’t you think? The stuffed animals were both the Disney standards and some more unique items. The one that my oldest fell in love with was a super plush stuffed bear puppet. This thing was so soft that I thought it may have been made of real fur, but it was not. My daughter, being super creative, decided to name it puppet. The item that I was most interested in was their selection of rocks. There were mounds and mounds of different crystals and rocks, and all were reasonably priced. I realize most people think rocks are pretty lame, but I appreciate the fact that these items were created by mother nature instead of some child in a sweatshop somewhere. If you are staying in a Disney resort they can ship your purchases to your gift shop so you don’t have to lug them around all day. It was my last day so I didn’t have that luxury, but I am glad I stopped here.

The mercantile shop was pretty good sized and had a variety of Disney themed items, some of which is specific to the lodge. Prices are the same for everything regardless of where you go. You can also get snack items here, drinks, and medicines. Yes, prices are on the high side, but I would expect nothing less of Disney. Hours of operation were very good and staff was friendly and helpful.

You’ll find WLM filled with a carefully selected array of Disney merchandise, much of it well-themed to the Lodge. They have a small selection of groceries and a few travel essentials. The staff is fantastic, of course – helpful, friendly, and fun! I bought(of all things) a mickey-shaped casserole here(why? because i LIKED it!). I wish they had quart ziploc bags(for TSA) and inexpensive scales to weigh luggage(because it always weighs more going home for some reason). But honestly, what’s not to like about this great store? Maybe their hours — they close at midnight, but everything else was GREAT!
