So i have to hit this place up once a month. It’s a little pricey for a dive, but the tacos are worth it. I have tried a variety of items here, and its really just all about the tacos. The options between Shrimp, Fish or Gobernado(deep fried marlin) tacos are never a wrong choice. I do not recommend the burritos, nor the Diablo Shrimp(while tasty and spicy, it was just shrimp in a watery sauce with plain rice). The burrito I’ve had was rice and shrimp with not much flavor, but again that is not what i go there for. So the ceviche is pretty damn good, but the tacos are really what keeps me coming back. I’ve been for lunch only, but it looks like this place must go off the rails on spanish/mexican music karaōke at night. Would be fun to see the scene on a Friday night! The chips with their meals are standard(they also include saltines) but their tomatillo salsa is f****** awesome! I see some complaints from other posts about poop in the shrimp… That’s a vein people. Stop being so sidity. Also, the mother/daughter team(who i assume are mother and daughter, as well as the owners) are some of sweetest business owners i have come across. Not sure who thinks they were rude, but they have been nothing but pleasant and helpful with me and i have been coming to this spot for NINEYEARS. Some people are just pissy little complainers. I guess Unilocal makes them feel more powerful? Regardless, this place is bomb and arguable the best fish/shrimp tacos in the bay.

If I could I would have given them no stars… My husband and I ordered takeout and it was THEWORSTSEAFOODEVER!!! We used to go there all the time and it was good… But now it’s so so bad… He ordered a caldo de camaron and a shrimp taco and the soup had like no flavor and no shrimp… And the taco was the worst thing I have ever put in my mouth… Well in short don’t ever go here… Only if you ever wanted to eat dirty shrimp in flavorless water then this is the spot for you.

Visite este Restaurante el sabado pasado y no recomiendo este lugar. Pedi una mariscada y los mariscos tenian un olor edeondo y ademas flemosos no pude comer ese platillo. CERO estrellas para ese restaurant.

I’ve come her ALOT and although I was never a huge fan, I’d go because my boyfriend loved the ceviche, I could get a decent shrimp taco, and they had chips and salsa(tomatillo salsa). The main reasons why I don’t like this place: 1) the shrimp are never cleaned(eating poop filled shrimp is not a great experience) 2) they don’t serve any beverage that isn’t soda, beer, or bottled water for an additional cost 3)The lady, who I’m pretty sure is the owner, was never nice to us, in fact she was sorta rude. You’d think you’d have a different attitude towards your loyal customers that would come in every week 4) this place is like made of concrete; in the winter it’s freakin freeeezing and in the summer you’re boiling… invest in a heater and a/c please 5) it sometimes can smell awful in there, like stagnant water, maybe it’s the turtle pond thing they have in the front, if it is — clean out the dirty water 6) the salsa although it was something I would look forward to, was never consistent. Sometimes it was spot on, sometimes it was spicy as hell, the worst-when it was as salty as the dead sea Now to the present day, my most recent experience involved old shrimp in my taco and in my boyfriends ceviche. The shrimp were so old, they were literally disintegrating in our mouths as we ate them, they didn’t even taste like shrimp, it was like dust, so gross. Maybe it was an off day, but honestly I think the quality of this place has gone down severely. I could go back to test my theory, but I just don’t want to risk getting sick, even though luckily we didn’t after we ate the sandy shrimp. You have been warned.

Authentic location with solid Shrimp Ceviche. However some other items like the marlin and octopus are not as fresh as in other places. Got overcharged for water as well… not worth the drive from the Bay Area.

Excellent marisco! Totally unassuming place. All the 5 stars are deserving. This place makes amazing ceviche. Up there with the high price restaurants at a fraction of the cost. The fish is fresh and nice size chunks, not all diced up into nothing. The flavor is superb. I had a job site down the street and hit this place up several times and it never disappointed. I usually like camarones over piscado but this place has some amazing fish ceviche. If you like seafood this lace is a must.

Price was high. Terrible service. Over charged on receipt and I had to re do the math because it seemed off, they tried charging me $ 140 when in reality the bill was only $ 104. Not pleased, don’t recommend, never coming here back again.

I remember this nice little restaurant because a year later I noticed that they put my bill through twice. Could be an honest mistake. I hope so! Truthfully I haven’t had a chance to call them and bring this to their attention. I recall that the food was quite good for impromptu lunch, if a little pricey. I go back if I were in the area again.

I used to live in the bay area and this was my spot! its a hole in the wall but if you find it, you will fall in love! The food is authentic Sinaloa style. Shrimp tacos are the best ever! I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and was never disappointed, the staff is super friendly and the atmosphere on the weekends is fun. They have Karaōke for those aspiring artist: P Every trip to the bay area i make sure to come here and everyone I have brought turns into a fan. Highly recommend if you like mexican style seafood.

This place is hidden/tucked in a corner and is a lot larger inside than it appears to be on the out. I had the Shrimp Taco, Marlin Taco, and Fish Taco, in this order is how I rank them. The tortilla is crispy and doesnt fall apart. Seriously though, the Shrimp taco is delicious. This place does have weekly specials, I think Tuesday you buy two tacos and get one half off($ 3.25 ea). Thursday’s special is fried fish(tilapia). When you eat there they bring you chips and fresh, tomatillo salsa… this salsa tastes like something my mom would have made. Absolutely delicious, had to ask for a refill, she filled the next one to the top, no problem. If you like Mariscos(mexican seafood) then this is the place for you. I highly recommend this place and I know I’ll be back there again.

They have the best marlin tacos. And the best Ceviche in the east bay. Its a good spot for seafood-mexican food! I had the Tostada Mixta Ceviche(shrimp, octopus & fish), & Taco de Camaron(shrimp), & Taco Gobonador(Marlin). The Cheviche Tostada Mixta was the best cheviche I’ve tasted in a long time. Love the pulpo. The shrimp taco was good too. And the marlin was delicate! Never had that before & it was actually good.

This restaurant, tucked in the corner of a small strip-mall, is unlike your typical Mexican food eatery. The humble surroundings belie the excellent food found here. Specializing in seafood dishes, the menu may be a departure for many who have grown accustomed to «Americanized» Mexican cuisine, but in my opinion it’s a departure worth taking. I’ve eaten here on several occasions with different people who all have quite varied tastes. None of us has had much exposure to traditional Mexican seafood dishes, but everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Some of the dishes we ordered included ceviche, shrimp and fish tacos, stuffed avocados, and shrimp/steak quesadillas. The quality was excellent and the portions were appropriate. Even people who are fairly finicky about their food were impressed, and one of my friends who fancies himself a «foodie»(his TIVO is full of Food Network recordings) damn near ate the place down. I noticed some DJ equipment in one corner, so they may offer karaōke or something else like that some nights. The prices are good, so feel free to take a few adventurous friends or family members!
