Last summer I’d have given them 5 stars. I do t know what happened but the food has gotten so bad. Myself and fiancé would always get«Chubby’s Extacies» chicken cutlet, swiss, Cole slaw on fresh baked garlic bread. $ 10 a sandwich but so worth it. Lately we’ve noticed they are getting smaller and smaller and very tasteless. Too often were told they have no garlic bread or slaw but the price doesn’t change. Top that off with an $ 5 price tag on a few Rainbow cookies and you’re pretty much done with the place.

Went to chubbys yesterday for breakfast… I think it is the last time I’m going… food was eehh and the service was so unfriendly… I almost felt as if I was asking someone a favor instead of feeling like a valued PAYING customer !!! Also way way way over priced Thanks but no thanks

I went into chubby’s this afternoon and boy am I PISSED. My coworker’s and I had never been there before, so we were looking at the menus. The lady behind the register asked if he was ready to order, and he said yes and started ordering his sandwich. Well unbeknownst to him, he couldn’t order lunch with her. She only took breakfast and grill orders. So, whatever we order our sandwiches with a lady who really didn’t give a flying fuck. I got my sandwich and went to pay for it with lady at the register. The sandwich was $ 12, and no it was not made with gold. I gave her my credit card, she swiped it through the machine then threw it on the counter. She then proceeded to throw the PEN on the counter. Sandwich sucked, but I’ll go someplace else. Get new staff, chubby’s. the women are bitches. I’ll get a Big Mac next time.

I’m usually not too hard to please with LI delis but I’m really not crazy about this one for a couple reasons. I try to avoid it but once in a blue moon I cave in just because I already parked at the Deer Park train station and there’s no other food in such close proximity, and their food isn’t that bad from the few items I’ve had. Nothing special but okay. The first problem is they charge so ridiculously. $ 15 for a grilled chicken sub and a monster is steep enough, but I saw the monster was charged as a red bull for $ 4! When I pointed this out to the cashier she unenthusiastically responded they’re charged as the same item. That’s just absurd considering red bull is more costly then a monster. Secondly, on two occasions they almost made me miss my train because of the delayed service. On both occasions I got to the deli and ordered a breakfast sandwich around 8:30−32 and was supposed to catch an 8:46, and both times my sandwich didn’t come out until 8:44 which made me have to bust my ass sprinting across the street to make the train. It’s not that I mind a deli being busy in the morning, but they should at least give forewarning its gonna be 10+ minutes for eggs and sausage on a roll. When I looked at my phone and saw 8:43 I was this close to being put in the awkward situation of having to tell them just keep the food because I didn’t want to miss the train. Really wouldn’t recommend this place unless you need to grab a beer for the train ride.

Any time I’m in the area I stop into this deli. With my personal experience yes they are a bit pricey but the place is always clean and I always enjoy there food. Mostly when I’m in the area it’s breakfast, but every so often I get lunch. Great sandwiches so can’t complain any more. I don’t know about everybody else but I don’t mind paying a little extra for great food.

It is unfathomable to me how I can get charged $ 11 for a turkey and cheese wrap and a drink, with a straight face from the staff behind the cash register. Absolutely nothing special. Bland and obnoxiously overpriced.

this establishment only gets 2 starts because I like their sandwiches. They are overpriced for what you get. I could get much more for the $ 20 I spend on a sandwich and a drink with some chips. Otherwise, the service is horrible. the counter ladies would rather be somewhere else or helping someone other than you. You say«have a nice day» and only get a sneer in return. As for the clerks making the sandwiches, they have an attitude problem when you place your order. And if you want delivery? Go elsewhere, they take forever and seem mad when you want it delivered.

Huge sandwiches, everything I’ve had has been pretty good. Prices are definitely higher than average. Place is always packed.

EXTREMELYOVERPRICED! I literally paid $ 11 for a tuna salad wrap, this is absurd, it had no sides and no drinks or anything that came with it either. The food is good, I have never tasted anything bad but they definitely take advantage of being the deli by the train and the business park and think they can charge astronomical prices, it makes me feel taken advantage of. Also the staff is rude. NEVER a smile, everyone looks miserable to work there its crazy. I only gave them more than one star bc the food is good, but that is it, if you have another option don’t come here unless your rich.

For starters they are extremely over priced. Secondly the staffs attitude is terrible. The lady on the register is very short, rude and doesn’t care about your order one bit and makes it well known. I wouldn’t mind paying triple the price for the food if I didn’t have to deal with her. Salads in the freezer are terrible, beware the buffalo chicken salad… tastes like throw up – only way I can describe it. The steam counter is nothing to write home about, the bread they throw in as a freebie is bland, dry, zero flavor. Delivery takes hours and they are not happy to deliver even when you order an adequate amount of their overpriced food. Check out Dunton deli about 2 mins down the road. Maybe not as nice to look at but the staff is MUCH friendlier and serves you better food at half the price with a SMILE.

Just got done with an interview and I happened to come across chubby’s deli when a train going back to NYC would take an hour to come. I had better sandwiches back home but close to $ 10 for all your sandwiches. Give me a break. If there was more options around deer park station, I would have been out of there. The cubano was decent. The guy making it let me know the grill has not been working right so he did what he could(microwave). Nice try chubby’s deli you get a 2

Way over priced for a deli. Could of went out to a sit down dinner for what I paid for lunch. They have you because it’s the only deli in the area. Hit an ATM before you go.

Things I love: Sandwiches Things I don’t love: having to wait for my client to finish their tour so I can eat my sandwich Chubbys is great — they have a tremendous selection of sandwiches, paninis, hot lunchs, salads, whatever you want. Sometimes I find that when there are so many different things offered, the quality of the food lacks, but not here. Their subs are so large. Its an entire loaf of italian bread. Now, I can put down a pretty decent amount of food when I want to, but even I can’t finish one of their subs for head. They also have a large selection of different types of bread — and if you haven’t had a grilled chicken sandwich with fresh mozzarella and roasted red peppers on a garlic bread hero, then you just haven’t lived. The people that work here are also extremely friendly — I’ve always come here with large orders; around 6 or so individual sandwiches, drinks, snacks, etc. and each sandwich is made carefully. They offer my company a discount, which is fabulous — cause they do tend to be a little more on the pricey side, however I think it’s worth it considering the amount of food you get. Sure, 10 $ can be a bit much for a hero, but if you can eat it over two meals. Boom. Its got a good location, for the business itself, considering there are very limited options around the Heartland and the train station unless you want to drive out to deer park. What does that mean? Gets super busy, super quick, if you don’t like to wait on line call ahead or go there about 10 minutes to 12, cause the line literally explodes at noon. They’re quick though, so you won’t really wait too long. Unless, of course, any wait is too long, which is kind of how I feel when it comes to food. Hurry up, client, I’m hungry.

Amazing deli. Steam table food is wonderful. I ordered a sliced roast pork loin hero with swiss, peppers, red onion and mustard. The pork was juicy, tender and had a wondeful au jus with rosemary. Mmmmmm. Clean and the staff is very friendly. Will be back many times.

Good sandwiches, nice people. To elaborate, there is quite a wide selection of sandwiches(and other meals), which is wonderful considering there are not many other options around(at least that I am aware of). I was lucky enough to get my sandwich(a special made vegetarian panini), served with a perfectly timed wink.

A nice deli by the Deer Park train station and neighboring industrial parks. A good selection of sandwiches(I likes the chicken cutlet one, w. swiss cheese, bacon, hotsauce, and their wicked intense bleu cheese dressing) and platters(roast turkey, chicken cordon blue, and corned beef). There is also a grill, and some pretty old-school guys in their 40s and 50s working behind the counter. They deliver, but the hours are pretty much weekdays only when the factories are open.
