I’ve very surprised by some of the reviews, as I really enjoyed the service, food and atmosphere. The place is very cozy. The staff was very accommodating — even when trying to make a reservation for 12 people and then dropping down to 6 at the last moment. They didn’t flinch when I let them know we would be ½ the group as planned. I had the cheese and charcuterie board which was nicely presented. I’d definitely like to go back and try some of the other food options.

The food was a little pricey $ 60 for 3 people. .all we had was 2 orders of wings(8 wings, not even 12) 2 drinks and I had a stuffed artichoke, not good. there wasn’t much bread stuffing. .service was good, the water girl was awesome with her refills. veryone was very nice, our waitress actually smiled towards the end. I don’t really see this place surviving in bay shore, there is much better food at more reasonable prices.

So i’ve been there twice with two seperate friends and we all agree that we really like the place. First off, kudos to the craft beers. We all appreciated the taste and selection. In particular, «the old rasputin imperial nitro stout» was a great drink. I would describe it as a beer latte. The head is super foamy and creamy and the rest of the drink is very smooth. Its a dark beer also. Its 9% alcohol percentage so one does a pretty good job gettn u goin lol Food wise, we stuck with appetizers. We had calamarie and baked mac n cheese. I really appreciated the fact that the food tasted fresh and clean. With fried foods, places tend to over fry or have way too much dripping oil. Not the case here and the mac and cheese was a nice consistency. It wasnt dry. I think i was a great touch to put bread crumbs. Thats what my mom used to do! Lol Athmosphere was great too. Its summer time so the great wide open walk in is surely welcome. Its nice to have your drinks and food inside and being so close outside as well. I think it gives the place nice character. Great for a date, great to go with a friend or if you just want to sample some new beers. Check it out!

Atmosphere was great, waitress was wonderfully helpful. We’ve been wanting to try this place and were disappointed that all three«medium rare» burgers ordered at our table arrived well done. I could tell they would have been great if they were cooked properly, but I’m not sure we’re willing to try again when the burgers are well over 10 bucks each. As my husband put it, «if they can’t get a burger right at lunch, I’m not sure I’d come back for dinner». The ratatouille sandwich my mom ordered was fantastic, though.

Worst calamari I ever ate. Soggy and the sauce tasted like hunts ketchup. Overpriced and I would never return

Walked into a wonderful hometown feeling and greeted by the owner. The owner sat us and made sure we had top of the line service. And to top it all off the food was amazing. Highly recommend the rice balls and the pizza is awesome! Definitely will be coming back for more!

I came here on a Wednesday night with my boyfriend and I loved the ambiance of the restaurant from the minute I walked in. It’s very different from any other place in bay shore. It’s very welcoming and the food was great. The owner greeted us right when we walked in, let us try different types of beers and even recommended us an appetizer from their specials menu which was delicious(the ricotta rice balls). The owner definitely made our experience here great and I will definitely be back because of that.

Such a great place. Reasonably priced. The food was fantastic especially the Mac and cheese app. Had the pan seared tuna for my entrée and it was perfection. Definitely going back.

I’m hesitant to write this because it’s nice to keep some gems to yourself. But it wouldn’t be right to not give C&T the accolades it deserves. We’ve been 5 times and each time C&T shines. Last night, we arrived around 8:00 and it was busy so we ate at the bar. Bartender Josh was very welcoming and appeared genuinely happy to see us. Wife and I split the special rice balls — WOW! Crunchy on the outside, soft tasty on the inside all surrounded by a luscious marinara. Really great. We then split a C&T burger. Big, juicy, fresh made with cheddar, arugula, top with onion and tomato aioli Yum. Done perfectly medium rare as ordered. The menu recently change to add some grilled octopus and other delicacies which we’ll try on our next visit. C&T does a great job and we highly recommend.

Came in for lunch and sat at the bar. Had the French onion soup which was very good but would have liked there to have been way more cheese! They have a Nice sandwich/burger selection and well priced. Our table also got the chicken club and Steak sandwich which was a special. Both were enjoyed but very messy to eat which is kind of a good thing just be prepared! Would have liked the aioli on the club to be more flavorful. The fries that came with the sandwiches were hot and crispy! Love when they are served immediately like that! Would have liked to have a cool dipping sauce for them instead of ketchup but very tasty. I will def recommend and come back with friends. Nice and friendly bar/host service too.

My best friend and I came here on a Wednesday evening around 9pm. Being in the middle of the week, it wasn’t too busy but that’s what we preferred. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very friendly and charismatic. I got the Lavender Mule(delicious and beautiful pale purple colour) and she got the Cuban(served in a martini glass, lemony, tiny specks of mint throughout). They also had a Wine Wednesday special so we shared a bottle of their AXI Rose for $ 25. Each drink was $ 11. For food we shared Sriracha wings which were very tasty, and I got the teriyaki salmon burger with cucumber and Sriracha onion aioli. Each dessert was around $ 5-$ 6 so we split the crème brûlée and chocolate truffle bulleit; the latter was delicious, I didn’t care much for the 1st but I’m partial to chocolate. We were very happy with our dishes. They have 3 flat screen TVs(that I saw), couches, tables, and bar seating. The place has a nice classy vibe that draws a slightly older crowd. I would recommend this recently added cute spot to the Bay Shore Main Street area.

I’ll start by saying that I am pretty sure we happened to go on opening weekend.(I know a bit delayed) However we were in route to another place, saw it and decided to stay instead. With that being said, we were waiting for a table, however bar space opened to we opted for that instead. We sat there ignored for quite some time before we finally flagged down the bartender from the opposite side for service.(The bartender that was standing right by us blew us off even when we tried to get his attention, bad form). Anyway after all that the guy we had was a total sweetheart but we shouldnt have had to wait. The three stars is for the atmosphere(even though it was loud I atteibute that to how busy it was and the super drunk ladies who were singing at the bar lol), and for the wine choice. We split a bottle and it was great, the food however, dont bother. Calamari was over cooked and cold, which I guess means it was sitting out too long waiting to be dropped off, and the pizza was no better than a frozen one from the grocery store. Beautiful place, great stop in for andrink, but there is better food elsewhere in bayshore.

Ehhhhh. Not a fan. Tried it twice and t was worse the second time. We were seated by an owner and forgotten about. I asked for a water and was given it and 15 minutes later, still no server. Other people mentioned waiting 15 – 20 for apps and we got a bad feeling and left. We didn’t want to commit for hours. The menu is not great and it is randomly really expensive or cheap in my opinion. Needs a LOT of work in the front of the house. $ 12 onion soup but a $ 25 filet mignon? The first time the chicken sandwich was dry. This time we were ignored and left and went to Pico Tequila Bar

Walk in at 10:30 on a Friday after having a few drinks at another bar, the crowd is mostly older, but not the good kind of older, older like those people who went to places like the Boardy Barn when they were younger and still talk about it as they approach 40, Except now they have money. The kitchen closes early, no appetizers or anything, leaving the bartenders apologizing. The space is crowded with empty tables and Michael Kors bags. But I think the worst thing, and the reason for taking to Unilocal, would have to be the Owner, an older gentlemen who paces the entire restaurant eyeing down every single person who walks in. He did not welcome a any guests or even acknowledge them. He just paces the bar area with a pouty smug little look on his face, or stands at the end of the bar watching the bartenders every move. I’m not used to this in Bay Shore. Most places are very welcoming. Granted I only went for drinks but me and my girlfriend still spent a decent amount of money and felt like we were unwanted. I tipped the bartender at least 30% because I felt terrible that his every move was being watched, and his freedom to have an organic conversation was being stifled by the fact that he didn’t want to not seem busy. One of my first Unilocal reviews so I’m sorry if it’s not hitting notes that you would expect a review to hit, bottom line is I will not be returning to Corks and Taps for a Drink anytime soon.

Finally had a moment to come out to have lunch with my Co workers here and I’m glad I did. As artistic person I was very pleased with the décor. Rustic. Fantastic typography and loads of taps… In my head I was taking pictures. The waitress was very nice and we ordered some appetizers… Wings. Portabla bites… And the mussels. Soooo delicious… The hardest decision was what to eat… Finaly I choose the French burger… Very very very delicious. Juicy well plated and the fries still have the skin just like I like it… Great job…

Been here twice so far since it opened and both times I had great service and good food. The place is decorated nicely and the historical pictures add some character. You can tell by looking at the menu and wine/beer list that the managers put in effort to put together a good list of food and drinks. The spinach dip is some of the best I’ve ever had and the burgers are great with the pretzel buns. Also am a fan of their desserts. Keenan was a polite and attentive waiter, I will be back and recommend this place to others!

This place is def a sweet addition to the cute little town of bay shore for all of your beer drinking wine-O’s… The actual place itself reminds me of something trendy from Brooklyn almost … Now with that being said, you have tullulahs right around the corner that offers up the same awesome feel/atmosphere and cool, different dining choices… Now I’m not bashing the menu in corks and taps bc everything we ordered was pretty good but they need to amp up their menu… I was weirded out by the burgers? Like local is also across the street somewhere down the road… and I’m sure the burger is good but if you think about what’s going on in here. People eating … Drinking… Sharing… No one wants to share a burger… Like maybe one burger and sandwich is cool to have on the menu. At least a panini ! We ordered the cheese and charcuterie plate… Meats good. Cheese, no… It was some provolone I think it must have been deli quality… Now, everyone loves a meat and cheese board! Make it worth it!. Throw some blanched almonds tossed in olive oil and salt and a cup of honey/apricot jam with it… I was expecting more with that plate especially since it has such a wine bar-ish feel to it… The filet mignon was delicious, it was a very good quality cut of meat. Came with broccoli that was a little dry but I still ate it bc I’m a savage and the mushroom risotto that came with it was bomb… Loved it. The spinach dip was delicious ! Yes sounds very basic. But it comes with this awesome pizza dough sticks? That are crunchy, crispy, and warm and perfect with this creamy spinach dip… Again, I was surprised how boring the menu was but I really did like this place a lot. It prob does get really busy on the weekend, it’s a new, trendy spot so if you’re coming in for a quiet night on a Friday or Saturday it’s likely you will not get that. I came on a weekday and there was a large Party and a few other tables, not crowded at all but steady flow … I would love to wish this place good luck! I’ll be back and I have already told multiple people about this place but I’m hoping they step up their menu game! They have a legit selection of beer and wines!

I might be bucking the trend slightly with this review. I went to Corks and Taps on a Saturday night. It was extremely lively, walking into the place you are greeted with a nice open space and a long bar. The bar itself was impressive, 22 beers on tap, 9 red wines listed and I believe 10 white wines listed as well. There was a 20 minute wait for a 2 person table which wasn’t terrible since my girlfriend and I decided to grab a drink at the bar and started to take in the atmosphere of the place. The first thing I noticed was how loud it was, and I mean LOUD. We were standing mere inches from each other and could barely understand what the other was saying. I do think some sound absorbing panels on the ceiling would help curtail the deafening sound of everyone talking all at once. Moving on, we were finally seated and the wait staff was prompt. We ordered our food and it seemed like only a few minutes before it came out and placed onto our table hot and ready to eat! I ordered the Chicken Club sandwich, The chicken was cooked to a juicy perfection, and the blended mix of tomato lettuce and bacon placed everything in one dish that any palate would enjoy. I did feel that there was a lack of aioli on the bread since I just didn’t taste it while eating. In closing, I would definitely be coming to Corks and Taps again but perhaps on a quieter night. The food and even the beer menu is something that I will be scouring over and over again to try something new!
