We had been here before and enjoyed it, but the service and food have both gone downhill. The clientele are also crude, loud, and obnoxious. The people who come here don’t treat it as if they are eating at a nice restaurant at all. The place has really taken a dive. While we were eating, the wait staff stopped serving us for quite some time. When taking our wine orders, it was clear that the waiter had never heard of some simple types of wine. The appetizers were dry, and everyone agreed that the pasta needed more sauce. We won’t be coming back.

Great service? Ha! I literally had to stare the guy down just to place my order, then wait until we received our appetizer, which was lackluster I must add, just to order some drinks. The food took forever. Did he ever ask if we needed anything? No. The reviews of great service is a complete joke. The guy was abysmal. The blonde, European lady was nice, though. However, she wasn’t our primary waitress, unfortunately. The pasta, not al dente. They literally went to the ShopRite up the block and bought 96 cent boxes and boiled them. It’s so obvious. I had the vodka sauce. It was decent. Wine was a bit watery, but doable I guess. For dessert we had the crème brule. Not done enough, was watery and cold. I eat out a lot, I’m not originally from Bayonne. Not to sound«bouji» but I have an extensive taste palette due to my years of eating out in various places from New York to Philadelphia. This place isn’t worth it. Save your money.

mediocre at best! butter in foil. over cooked pasta. cheap sausage. all the hallmarks of a nj «Italian» restaurant that really has no idea what they are doing… i am giving it two stars because the food was warm. instead of having 70 menu items that are mediocre they should focus on about 20 and get them right!

What a great Italian restaurant. Food and service are fantastic. Very good beer and wine selection, wonderful appetizers and delicious eggplant spread complimentary with hot bread. All of your favorite Italian classics, new twists on old ones and innovative new menu items. Service is impeccable, wait staff is classy and attentive. If you want to have a classy date night, here’s your place.

I can’t tell you just how surprised I was! We had an informal dinner meeting here upon the recommendation of a rep and although slightly skeptical about entering a building that looked on the outside, more like a professional building and not a restaurant, it was certainly just that –a beautifully tucked away delightful place for your tastebuds to be overwhelmed! The wait staff is beyond hospitable and like the ambiance, so nicely appointed in shirts, vests and ties and I say that to say, it’s not your traditional server attire, but for those who appreciate modernity in tie and sock wear, they certainly had it going on! Not to mention their winning personalities! Drinks were on point and the wine was so nicely chilled you could taste the crisp spices of my chardonnay:) The hot seafood antipasta delish as were the calamari and sauce! And for those of you like myself, the bread was soft, toasty and warm:) I ordered the special –handmade and rolled pasta stuffed with ricotta and spinach with shrimp, delicate scallops and asparagus in a pink sauce(forgot the name of the sauce, but def not a vodka sauce)…and get this, I am NOT a pasta lover but this was absolutely phenomenal! I only wish I’d left some to take home, but it was simple too good NOT to eat it all! It’s presentation was so caring and pretty! …Caring and pretty because they decorated our dished with flowers:) I heard others moan and bask in the flavors prancing around their palates! They offered me to taste but I shied away… if they were friends or family, ALL bets off! lol! Do yourselves a favor and venture off into this little spot in Bayonne, its certainly worth the drive. Street/metered parking until 7

One of my favorite Bayonne restaurants. Food always fresh and hot. I personally love the flounder florentine. Great service and drinks too.

WTH? Food was pretty good and service adequate! I’ll never bring my family here again!!! Bizarro people at the bar and a weird religious sex themed party in the adjacent room. I’m not sure what this really is! My husband was groped at bar by some slut; and freaky party with religious costumes at next table. Just NO

We are really happy with this restaurant. Almost found it by accident. Monday through Thursday has a heat price fix menu. Good food and the prices are reasonable. Another go to place close to home

Love this place! It is quaint and warm. The service is fantastic and the food is great too. I have eaten here on numerous occasions and never had a bad experience. This is a must go to when you are in town or if you even live in town for a nice night out with friends or your significant other!

I’ve been here a couple of times and even had a party here. The service and food is excellent. The chocolate martini comes out with a smily face on top, who wouldn’t like that!

Cute little place, food & service is excellent. The hot antipasta is great, the meat from the veal shank falls right off the bone.

My two friends and I went there to grab a drink. At first the atmosphere was good but around 12:30am we were being rushed to finish our drinks. Why? Because the manager had his friends waiting to go out! Are you kidding me? Which place literally tells you to chug your drinks because they want to close hours early so they can go clubbing. I was very disappointed. After that the atmosphere got sour and we felt uncomfortable so we left with our drinks half full. I will not be going there again, until management becomes a grown up and responsible.

Today I had the Insalata del Chef for lunch which came with baby spinach but cold diced potatoes. I also found a long hair in my salad. I also had to ask for a bread basket. This place should be better, since the owner once worked at some of the better restaurants in Bayonne. Go somewhere else. P. S. Later in the day, I had diarrhea.

We’ve been there twice now and each time have been very impressed. The foods are delicious and authentic. They also give out complimentary sides, like grilled vegetables and desert wines. Waiters all wear uniforms and are very professional and courteous. I see lots of families there in their casuals, which probably means that this place is their local favorites too. The only downside I would say is a lack of view and the bread they serve is a disappointment. Other than that, Piccolino’s is as good as it gets.

A friend and I went here to have lunch. I was craving Italian food, as I always do when I visit N.J., and this was the perfect spot to sedate my desire for authentic eats. They bring out these wonderful fried sweet potato things that are light, fluffy and addictive! Between those sweet pockets of wonder and the complimentary fresh Italian bread garnished with Olive Oil, by the time my meal arrived I could barely scarf it down. I ordered the classic Spaghetti and Meatballs. The Meatball was huge and just as good as Nona used to make it! Also, the waiter was fabulous and I assume trying to get us drunk because he kept bringing out complimentary shots after we finished our meal! After 3(or 4) shots and a pitcher of Sangria(also good-a little strong though), I basically stumbled out of there tipsy and full. I really like this place and will visit again on my next trip home. 4 YuMMOS and a Hell Yes for this place.

Delicious food, great prices, nice atmosphere! Some of my favs: mozzarella caprese, seafood risotto, and a pitcher of sangria. Everyone on staff is very friendly, and they usually serve a little after dinner drink on the house. A great spot for a casual date or dinner with the family!
