Do not use Bayside Florist! Total rip-​off and extremely rude! My best friend ordered flowers for her fiancé’s wake. She ordered them to be in the shape of the NY Rangers emblem since her fiancé was a huge Ranger fan. When they were delivered we were horrified and she was embarrassed by them. She had previously ordered the same thing when her brother passed away a few years ago and that arrangement was beautiful but, unfortunately she couldn’t remember where she ordered them from so she ordered these through the funeral parlor’s website and wound up with Bayside Florist. What a mistake! What they sent was a display of daisies that were flattened and then spray painted with a stencil. The words were also spray-​painted on but were crooked and the letters were so round that they looked like a child wrote them. And they charged her $ 600. for this crap! She called them today to see about getting a partial refund and was told that it was too late and she should have called when they were delivered. She tried to explain that she was trying to deal with the wake and the death of her fiancé but they told her «too bad» and hung up on her. It’s bad enough when you order flowers and when they arrive they aren’t what you thought they would be but this was her fiancé’s wake! And the florist could care less! They are a rip-​off and just mean, nasty people! Not sure how they stay in business!!!

I ordered my bridal bouquet and my maid of honor bouquet, corsages and boutonnieres for my parents and groom. It wasn’t even worth the amount of money I spent on the flowers. My bridal bouquet came out nice but the bow on it was so ugly. Then the flowers started to wilt and break off my bouquet two hours after being picked up from the flower shop. My husbands boutonnière lost most of the rose petals towards the end of the evening. My fathers’ boutonnière was a plain rose with and ugly ribbon. I was overcharged for the two corsages ($ 50 a corsage)
I ordered 40 stems of white baby roses for my center pieces and when I picked them up, half of the bunch were fully opened buds and were at the point of wilting. I was told to keep those in the fridge so they wouldn’t open up. The petals were falling off as we were putting the center pieces together.
Greg, the owner, was rude. He had no customer service skills. I should have walked away and take the downpayment as a loss and took my business elsewhere but I didn’t and I regret going to Bayside Florist. Never again will I take my business there.
I forgot to mention that my brother and sister-​in-​law wanted to buy flowers to add to my centerpieces. Greg was so rude to them, they ended up walking out of the store.

Wow– no customer service skills, very rude. Asked a question and got major attitude and answered as if I was stupid. No hello when I walked in or any communication. Unprofessional. Not sure how they could stay in business treating people this way.

The absolute worst. Unprofessional: owners arguing at counter, ignoring customers. No Hi, Bye, or Thanks. Charge prices higher than posted («Those are old»…then change em dude.) Flowers died in two days. Valentine’s day desperation got me once, but never again.

Horrible customer service! Just went in there to buy roses, and just asked that he make the bouquet look pretty since it’s for my mom. His exact words were «I don’t know what the hell you want!» I was in the store for literally 3 minutes not like I was wasting his time or taking forever I just wanted the bouquet to look good and was relying on his expertise. After he spoke to me like that I walked out. Terrible service.

I do not recommend getting flowers from this shop. My mom placed an order online for flowers to be delivered in Chicago. Bayside does not send the flowers from NY of course, but they contacted another flower shop in Chicago. About a week after the order was placed, my mom asked if I had received the flowers and of course I did not. I called the flower shop and left a VM. Then I called Bayside and was told the flower shop in Chicago had confirmed them delivery, which of course did not happen. The person I talked to from Bayside was polite. He apologized and said he would do an upgrade. I received the flower arrangement today but no upgrade. I received the exact arrangement my mom purchased. I don’t think anyone should pay more than $ 50.00 for 12 red tulips.

i paid $ 102 and never received it.

I found the staff to be discourteous. I received no greeting, no thanks, no goodbye.
I haven’t bought too many flowers in my life, but the flowers were pretty expensive. I bought my flowers in-​store and walked out with them, and the roses are $ 4 each with no special pricing per dozen. Thus, I paid $ 48 for a dozen roses. They were nice roses (nice colors, fragrant), but I know I can pick-​up flowers that are just as nice from local competitors at a much lower cost. If the difference was only a few bucks I wouldn’t be so turned off, but with other options just as convenient and more affordable, I’ll probably not come back soon.

Had flowers & chocolates sent to me by friend. I spoke with manager Greg after being called from my husband indicating that Bayside florist wanted to work with me on delivery options. Spoke with manager Greg and asked him to leave on front steps of house. He said he didnt want to do that becuase of the cold weather and the flowers were delicate. I understand that, but thats when the story goes south.
He kept pressing me for neigbors to leave flowers with. I advised that the neighbors work long hours like I do and NOT to leave them, I would even come by store to pick up
What does he do?! — He delivers them and leaves them with a neighbor. When I asked him about it, he said his deliveryman had already left and he couldn’t get in touh with him. — what deliveryman has no cell phone?
Additionally, I told him no choc were received and I wanted the full order what was paid for. He said I guess forgot to send them.
He was difficult to work with, the full order was not delivered and you should avoid this busniess as much as possible. He even lost my phone number and had to call my husband to get it again. Disorganized and disappointing to say the least. — so lets see if I get my chocs after he reads this review!
