I’ve been looking for a new salon and with someone who is good at doing blondes. (I’m really picky) I finally found the place. Jinae is awesome and I will definitely be back! I’m so glad I found her. She colored my blonde so nicely. It’s exactly what I asked for and gave me a nice cut. Thanks for making me feel pretty Jinae!

Went in for a color correction and showed him a picture of what I want done. Well the results were not anywhere close to what I asked him to do! The reviews state what a great colorist he is but he didn’t even match my root color to my highlight color. It looked so awkward together I was very upset. When I went in the next day to show it to him he didnt seem open to helping me fix it and didn’t even care that it didn’t match! I payed a fortune for it to be done and now I have to go get it corrected! Showed it to my previous hair salon and she was baffled by the color he chose! Will not be returning! Definitely not a professional colorist and the prices he is charging is outrageous!

You really know you have reached a hair cutting professional when they ask what you want and proceed to actually do what you want. Today was my first time in this salon. I must say, best results from a first time hair cutting experience at a new salon. Eli cut my hair! They honor appts, Eli gives great service, she knows how to cut long hair without cutting it all off! Will be there again for my next haircut!

So far I’ve seen Eli and Lizzy for cut, color and blowouts and they have been fantastic. Truly a talented team. They each take their time to give you the results you want and make great suggestions along the way… True suggestions — not sales pitches just for products in their salon. That is so important to me. I hate forced conversations and products pushed on you and this place has neither. I highly recommend and will continue visiting! I always feel great walking out of the salon.

Jinae is just WONDERFUL! I never need to worry how my hair cut turns out because I know it’s going to look amazing. Love going to see her to get a hair cut or a touch up, then shop at the HMart.

I came here 4 weeks ago with an ombré I did not like. My hair previously had red tones and I showed them a picture of what I wanted (a blended ash brown/​blonde highlighted look). Nadine tried her best to get rid of all of the red in my hair by giving me partial highlights and a toner. It came out GREAT! The only thing is that I didn’t turn out like the picture exactly but I do understand they were trying to protect the integrity of my hair. She told me to come back in 8 weeks to get a touch up and get my hair to more ‘ash’.
The negative is that they are so expensive! A simple haircut, of refreshing my one layer, cost $ 55. If I knew that was the price, I would have never opted for a cut. I get cuts cheaper and of same expertise elsewhere. However, I appreciate that they corrected my color and I am so happy! I’ll be going there again this Saturday to tone down my color a bit, maybe go 2 shades darker.
Overall, I highly recommend this place and check in to Unilocal!They give you 10% off.

Jorge was great! He is a true color expert. He’s passionate and so talented. My hair came out great and he even gave me recommendations for future color ideas. You never get that kind of consultation anywhere nowadays. The rest of the staff was so genuine and sweet

Last Saturday, I went to my first appointment at Salon Diva. It was the most fun I’ve ever had at a hair salon. They make you feel comfortable right away. I was there for a partial highlight touch up and hair cut. Jinae did my hair, and she did a great job. Right away, she could see that bleach had been used on my highlights, and told me she would use color instead. The highlights are gorgeous, and she also gave me a great hair cut. It’s not easy to get my baby fine hair to look good, but Jinae did it. A beautiful plus is that Jinae does eyebrows. She did an amazing job on mine.
I left very relaxed and happy, and will definitely be back. Thanks again, Jinae!

I made my first appointment with Eli sometime last year after reading all the great Unilocal reviews, and I’m glad I did :)
Whenever I have any questions about how to cut my hair or what products to use, Eli is always such a big help. She’s recommended several different products, oils, and at-​home hair treatments I could make to target some issues I have with my hair (such as dryness).
Love it here, it’s become my go-​to hair salon. :)

Jinae is amazing at hair coloring. I’ve been going here for over 6 months now and my hair looks wonderful. Natural, but interesting at the same time. Jinae listens to what you want, but she also gives excellent advice.
The whole salon staff is very friendly and warm; they offer you drinks and take care of you. A very relaxing experience. There is never the catty vibe that you get in some other salons. It is a pleasure to spend an afternoon here.
I finally found my salon. It is worth every penny.

First time here and was very pleased. I’ve always known it was there because i frequent the Thai olsce next door.
I’m very picky with ny haircuts which usually leads to me cutting my own hair because if i cut it, i can’t be mad, right?!!
Anyway i read a lot of reviews and they were all pretty good so I decided to make an appointment online, via Unilocal app, which was amazing! First time for me and i loved it. That gave the salon an extra thumbs up for me!
When making my appointment, i saw that i could make it with a specific person. Since I’ve never been here before, naturally, i didn’t know who would be best. So i went right back to my fellow Unilocalers for advice. After looking at just about every picture, i decided to make my appointment with Eli.
What a great choice! I was so happy with her. She has an amazing spirit and knows exactly what she’s doing. My haircut and hairstyle came out amazing. I wish i could go to her on a daily basis!
I only got a haircut and style, price for that i felt were very fair especially since the service was great.

I first fell in love with Salon Diva when I stopped in for a Bang Trim. They cut my bangs and said no charge. WHAT! I wasn’t even a client yet. This happened a few times. I loved that they were not money hungry and just wanted happy clients.
I had to become a client now, everyone there was so nice! And Eli was always so sweet and had a smile for you. She was the only one who could work my cowlick and make my bangs look even.
I came in for a haircut with Jinae and she was awesome. We talked about places we traveled and I think Jinae is the only stylist I ever babbled this much with! We were babymooning on a Caribbean Cruise and Jinae gave us so much advice about San Juan — Thank You!
Now back from the Pregnancy and with my bangs… now crazy long and side sweptish, I came in for a Bang Trim (you don’t get to get out much with a newborn). I was in the area and asked for anyone available, they said Nadine was available — ok. She was really great, friendly and helpful. I still love the way Eli does them but I really like the entire staff at Salon Diva.
So I head over to the counter and was told the trim was $ 5. Expensive, no. Unreasonable, of course not. But was I surprised? Yes. So I guess I take back the reason why I fell in love with Salon Diva. When I wasn’t a client, they were on the house. When I am, they are $ 5. Fine. I am ok with that. I always tip $ 5 for a gratuitous bang trim anyway. Still love the place.
… then I asked for change so I may give a tip. I was told they have no change. Really… a salon has no singles… Then she asks how much I planned on tipping, that’s classy. I look at the lady and she looks at me and shrugs. I guess I’ll have to leave $ 1 tip (I’m so sorry Nadine! I really thought salons had change). THEN she asks one of the employees if they have change and they provide change. And this, is why what was once going to be 4 stars, is now 2.

I’VE FINALLY FOUND MY FAVORITE SALON.
I recently moved to Queens from
Boston (where I loved my hairstylist) & I’ve had so much trouble finding someone who gave me exactly what I wanted. I tried a place in Forest Hills called «Shays Place» where I paid $ 70 for a cut that was NOTHING close to what I asked for.
Eli was very sweet & gave me EXACTLY what I wanted. I told her to keep the length & add some short layers that framed my face & now I feel like a million bucks!
I’ll most definitely be returning in the future.

Janae… first off, i call her my hairapist! haha! I love her! you tell her what you want or what look your going for and she definitely knows what your talking about! coming from me, it’s not easy to find a great hair stylist to trust especially if your a blonde and now i have no worries!

This is my new go-​to salon since I moved close by. Everyone gives amazing cuts here. I had my extensions done by Jinae! They came out great, she really knows what she’s doing and makes you feel like family. I Definitely recommend:)

Booked an appointment with eli who is extremely personable and talented. Went for a cut and color and I haven’t stopped getting compliments since. Great place and wonderful staff. They use great products and are not afraid to keep you at your seat a little longer just to get your look perfected

Long story short, I came in with an idea and left with the outcome I wanted… Literally the first time I was ever satisfied walking out of a hair salon and the first time I DIDN’T want to cry!!! Thank you Jinae for your endless advise & for actually listening to me as well as comforting me throughout the whole process (I had to inform her of how traumatizing it is for me to get my hair done because I never get the results I want).

I was supposed to get my haircut before I went on vacation earlier this month. My locks had grown to Rapunzel-​like lengths and fanning around in the tropics with such tresses was not an appealing thought.
Alas, I didn’t have the time. Fast forward an interrupted vacation and a broken leg, my hair was still long and unwieldy and unpleasant to deal with in my current situation. Enter Salon Diva — my first outing on crutches. George was my stylist and he was quick, efficient, confident and chopped my locks, bringing them into a short, cute and manageable style. It was the perfect pick-​me-​up after dealing with broken leg blues.
Definitely recommend this salon (and George) to anyone looking to feel good about their hair again.

The date I came in elli if you did not remember since you were telling me you wish you had my hair color that day and was working on someone’s hair right behind me was April 3 it was a fri before easter. Not really sure why this matters since the very next day I had it fixed at Marie Robinson salon in the city. Interesting since I posted there are numerous «happy clients «I wonder where those reviews were was I booked my app for April 3 at 3 pm? . Bad business poor customer service period.

As soon I walked in felt very comfortable. Greeted by the owner. She was great, ask if I would like anything to drink while I waited for my hairstylist Jinae. Jinae made me feel extremely comfortable for my first visit here.
I will recommend Salon Diva and Jinae to all my family and friends.
