Systematic Control Corporation

This is a follow up to my previous review with Systematic Control Corporation. I cannot edit my other review because i have two accounts and for some reason I can’t sign into the other one.(IVY.L)
I apologize if there’s any confusion.
Systematic Control Corporation sent me a notice letter attempting to sue me for the amount of $ 150.00 dollars and slander on the previous Unilocal review.
First I would like to say that I am very sorry to the technician for getting angry. I was at that time 8 months pregnant and extremely upset that this problem could not be fixed. Please understand that I had called another company previous to you and they said it was the «transformer» that was fried. That’s why there was no power. But you said that I needed to hire an electrician. That to me did not really diagnose anything. So for the first 10 MINUTES of you trying to find my power unit… I had a feeling this was not going to go anywhere.
So I called your company immediately (after 10 minutes) and was very angry and asked for you to go and that I was not going to pay $ 140.00 for the first half hour because you were telling me to hire an electrician. Systematic control corporation asked me which technician he was there and I said“the little Indian brown man” I again apologize for this remark and being so frustrated. I am Asian and did that mean that in any derogatory/​slander/​racist way! Pregnancy can be rough at times and I apologize to the technician!
The woman on the phone told me that I did not have to pay the $ 140.
A week later I got a bill. I again reused to pay this and they said it was fine. However mentioned they were not happy about the previous Unilocal review. I said it was the truth and I stand by it.
So here at the end. I called a different company. And they fixed my transformer and now the heat is running nicely.
I am going to pay you the $ 140.00 which now is $ 150.00 due to tax. Because that’s what you charge for the visiting fee and first half hour.
So the problem was resolved because I am now paying this $ 150.00. But everything on Unilocal with the service is absolutely true. Good luck with everything and happy holidays.
I have received a letter from you guys again… that you donated our money to charity. Please do not contact us again.

Sold us years old but «new» and inefficient hot water heaters. Took 5 trips over 2 weeks to fix.

The technician who did the work was very friendly and knew what he was doing and got the repair on my central air unit done in about an hour on a Friday night.
There doesn’t seem to be anything wrong with the techs at this company. The woman in customer service who answers the phones is another story. She was rude, condescending, and dismissive of me and my appointment. At one point when the tech was already 4 hours late, we called for a second time to check on when he would show up. We were told by the woman that he was called to an emergency at a restaurant client and may not even get to us that day. When we dared to complain about this, she compared our appt. to a stomach ache and that the repair at the restaurant was a heart attack. This is not a joke, she compared our HVAC problem to a life and death situation… without a hint of sarcasm. All the while being completely rude and even yelling at us at one point. The tech did finally make it at 8:30pm (for an appt. scheduled for 1pm) and fixed the issue. As I said, he was courteous, professional and did good work, and I was thankful that he came out to a call after the emergency and at a late hour.
I understand that contractors and techs get delayed and even that big clients that spend lots of $ may get preferential treatment, but the way we were treated by this woman was just horrible customer service. She acted like she was doing us a favor by sending a tech. Based solely on the tech this would have been a 4 or 5 star review but she knocks at least 2 or 3 off any review. And if the tech didn’t show this would be a 0 star review. The experience with her will make me think hard before I call this company again for service.
