San Jacinto mall holds a special place in my life since I used to go there around Christmas time as a kid even though we lived no where near it. Those late 1980s years were the glory days of the mall. It is now largely unoccupied and kind of falling apart but Macy’s is among the stores that has decided to stick around. I only visit the men’s department here but the deals are incredible at times. You can buy $ 150 wool pants for under $ 30 or designer Oxford shirt for $ 10 – 20 at times. Being that this is a more blue collar area there does not seem to be much demand for business style men’s clothing. They seem to want to move the merchandise quickly and they get it done with aggressive markdowns. Without a doubt it’s the best Macy’s for men’s wear deals in the Houston area. Of course, the building is now old and tired. The entrance to the men’s section from the exterior has a completely faded wooded floor from sun exposure. The interior fixtures are old and would not be allowed in their Galleria stores. I really do not care about this stuff since I am not there to buy the place. Service has consistently been good and they have never bothered me with aggressive selling. Always ask the cashier for any promotions going on and for the best deal. They have coupons or promotion codes they can enter most of the time.

Clinique makeup counter at Macy’s in Baytown Texas. Worst experience ever. I had some time on my hands today and decided to walk by the makeup counter. I noticed two sales people from the Clinique counter doing make up for one of the store employees. After complementing the good job they were doing I asked if one of them could help me choose my makeup. I told them what I was in the market for and asked if we could do a make over and help me choose other makeup essentials that I may need. They asked me to take a seat while they finished with the employee and their local gossip. One lady finally started to attend me asked me what my needs were. After removing the eye make up I currently had on another customer came to the counter. She assured me it would only be a moment and stepped away from me. After being away for 10 minutes helping this other customer with a transaction the previously engaged Clinique counter person also joined her in helping the same customer leaving me with no make up sitting there waiting for one of them to help me. Thirty minutes later and I am still sitting there! They have attended three different customers by this time who have come to the counter for purchases. After reassuring me that they will be with me shortly, they go about laughing and gossiping and doing whatever else they need to. It was a very disappointing experience. I finally had to get up, thank them for their time and drive to a nearby Walgreens to purchase anything I could to get some make up back on. I will not be buying Clinique. I will not be buying any makeup from Macy’s. This experience was rotten.

Love Macys! This store could use new dressing rooms but other than that great store! You can always find good deals on great clothes.

I am at my Macy’s looking for my nephew some school clothes. The employees are pretty helpful in helping myself choose for a picky young man but I am pretty picky myself in clothes & shoes. Well I like this Macy’s because it’s in town!!!

Macys is Macy’s business as usual, this location was a confusing layout, stuff thrown everywhere, things on the floor. I tried for like 10 minutes to find the men’s department to find out its in the back hidden with no proper signage, had to ask a sales person where it was again. It was also about 10% of the Macy’s. The polo section was destroyed, things littered, shirts off the wrack. I’m use to quality service, and a quality sales environment when it comes to the Macy’s brand, this location was lacking that luster. Got some jewelry and literally spent about 1 hour checking out because the check-out lady was about 90years old +, I don’t discriminate, but she was literally the slowest moving person I have ever witnessed. Then she forgot my receipt, then she forgot to put the jewelry in the bag, after she gave me an empty bag, I was like just ooooooomg, then she rang up the wrong item, literally was about to walk on, but I needed to make someone happy. Cmon Macy’s Step Up Your Game! Christmas Decorations A+ Since the actual mall had 0, except for Santa lol.

There’s always a sale rack. The younger associates are helpful and they try really hard. Got a great pair of heel for $ 12 during this visit!
