A pretty straightforward state park. Some historic buildings by the parking area and trails out beyond them. Cedar Creek runs all through the park and looks like it’s got a good current for tubing, kayaking, or canoeing. The woods on either side of the creeks and streams get pretty thick, so you would be able to see quite a lot of area that you wouldn’t be able to get to on land. It would definitely be a cool trip and I’ll be coming back in warmer weather to do it. As for hiking, I don’t think the trails are anything special. There’s one area where all of the trees are knocked down all around the trail, I’m not sure if they’re doing some type of tree removal project? I think these trails would be better for running than hiking. All in all, I’ll definitely be back to go kayaking, but I’m not sure I would return just to hike.

Long paths and dirty sand holes. Good for dog walking. Long runs. Bad for child entertainment.

This is not a park, It’s just an abandoned neglected piece of land that was named a «state park» for some odd reason
