I typically prefer the south shore over the north shore. The north shore tends to have a ton of shells and rocks, which makes walking around on the sand a pain(literally). However! You get the bay or the sound from the north shore and that’s always nice since there are no waves to knock you over. We accidentally stumbled upon this beach while driving around. It’s next door to Ransom Beach so if either is packed, just know there is another right there. Decent size parking lot, a clubhouse with restrooms and a snack bar(only open during the summer). There are also a handful of food places right across the street. The other perk is this is a Town of Oyster Bay beach so if you’re a TOB resident, you get in for a fraction of the cost(during peak season, of course, the rest of the time it’s free). I can’t wait to try out this place during the summer and see if it gets crowded. If not, this might be my new beach home for a couple of months.
