This is one of the restaurants owned by the same family that owns Stefano’s and a few other places on the island. They do a really nice job at all of their restaurants, and I had been looking forward to trying this place for a while. Growing up in Jersey gave me a deep love for diners all over the place, and this one falls right in with my favorites. My uncle and I headed down to our shore house because we needed to do some work around the house to get it ready for the summer. After a long hard day of work, I was starving, so I suggested we go here on our way home. I couldnt decide on what I wanted because I was really torn between ordered breakfast or lunch. My brother had told me that the omelets were awesome, but I wound up going the route of a tuna melt, because I just dont get them that often. My uncle’s chicken noodle soup and turkey wrap looked pretty good. My tuna melt was fantastic. The tuna had great flavor and there was more than a healthy helping of american cheese. The tuna was mixed with just the right amount of mayo and some celery and onion. The fries served with the tuna melt were amazing. They had the double fried texture, and were super crunchy. They were the perfect pairing to go with the tuna melt. This place has a great menu. The vibe of the place is super cool inside. I love the decoration, and the small intimate feeling of it. It is right on the water and has a beautiful view. The service is good, the food is good, its just a winner of a spot. Definitely worth a visit.

I tried the breakfast nachos and the eggs florentine. I didn’t really like the breakfast nachos, it seemed like a poor substitute for huevos rancheros. Basically scrambled egg and cheese on top of tortilla chips. The scrabbled egg wouldn’t stay on the chip, I could have used a bit more in the way of toppings, it just didn’t work for me. The eggs florentine were better but not the best that I’ve had. The eggs were over cooked for my taste(medium, on the verge of hard poached eggs). I had a hard time cutting through the english muffin on the bottom. The hollandaise sauce was a good consistency and well made. I liked that they had a variety of hot sauces available. I had never had sriracha on eggs florentine before. I was tempted to ask for every hot sauce they had to be put on the table. While things weren’t bad, not the best breakfast I’ve had.

Great place for breakfast and lunch. No reasonable request is declined. Good variety and fresh. My only recommendation is to change your hashbrowns. Compared to everything else it is obvious not home made.

What a disappointment. Excited to have a good meal and strong coffee and I got neither. Coffee was probably the worst I have ever had. So watery and tasteless. My quesadilla de la mañana used processed cheese slices and the hash browns were cold. The bacon was pathetic. When you use cheap ingredients, then you can’t expect tasty food. Awful. Service was fast and professional. My family’s pancake was acceptable too.

Brrrrr! Had breakfast in an igloo this morning. Costumers were begging to sit outside. The upside: over easy eggs — perfect, home fries nice and crispy, srapple was very good. Downside: it was so cold the coffee froze within two minutes. Speaking of coffee: it was so wreak a seagull wouldn’t have woken up. Diluted water! No alternative options: it is 2015 after all; just one tofu dish, some fruit, you know… creativity. it’s not Sea Isle City — LBI has taste. Oh, the Staff was way cool, except the little cutie who staggered in late with a hang over and garnered nasty stares and sniping from her Co-workers.

Great service, great food and a good value on LBI we have been here for both breakfast and dinner, both times impressed. Quite a step up from previous ownership.

Loved it. My wife and four kids enjoyed the total experience. Good menu. Food was phenomenal. «Best Chocolate Chip pancakes ever,» son said. Service was prompt and friendly — no complaints.

Food gets five stars. Great breakfasts. Great location. Just a classic place. Service gets like a tenth of a star. We’ve gone there about a dozen times. Rarely friendly. I know they are rushed, I get that. But the young workers there can be just plain rude and almost always come across as uninterested and wishing they were anywhere but here. This visit, my wife and I stopped in early– before the rush. There were maybe four tables eating. Not crowded. One young waitress and she was not happy. We sat at the bar and quickly got coffees. After that, we sat there 20 minutes and never again even got anyone’s attention. Three teenage boys loped in, put their aprons on and just stood there, right in front of us. It became a game to us – how long could we sit here unnoticed. Three dudes just looking at us and two nasty waitresses walking right past us for 20 minutes — no exaggeration. We finally had to go. We threw down a fiver for the coffees and left. This place needs ADULTWORKERS. The food is great, really great. The service is what you would expect from disengaged teenagers. The DD is better than that. I’d never say don’t go. We’ll go back. The breakfasts are that good — worth enduring bad service.

Went for breakfast and was disappointed all around. Waited over 10 minutes for a server(there were only 3 other tables with customers-it wasn’t busy). Ordered eggs and corned beef hash. For $ 10.99 I had two eggs, ONE slice of toast, over cooked hash browns and a small portion of corned beef hash. Should have stayed home and had cereal. Not rushing back, poor service, mediocre food, disinterested staff

The food is okay. You can get food like this all over the island but the dockside has a good sunset view.

The single best place in my world for breakfast. I lived in forked river nj and would drive 25 minutes to go for breakfast. I now live in Texas and whenever I am in the remote area, I find myself there. Two wonderful sisters own it and they bring warmth to the whole place. Very good and honorable people. It is small, but that adds to the charm. Great sunrises. Great food. Fresh fruit and killer Manhattan clam chowder. I have been there 200+ times and never disappointed. The only place I prefer for breakfast over my own kitchen and I am a great chef. Your Milage May Vary(but I doubt it)

The food was surprisingly good, but the service was lackluster. There were only 3 tables seated in the restaurant and 3 female teen servers were doing some sort of group hug thing and ignoring the few patrons in the restaurant. We actually needed to ask«can we order now ?» For someone to locate our server.(Who was not group hugging). Our server was very pleasant though, and the food was actually very good. We would come again.

Parking is really the only negative thing about this place. Outside of that, food is great especially breakfast. Views of boats and bay water, friendly staff and comfortable seating. The place is small so if your coming at a popular time be ready to wait. There’s nothing bad about waiting by the water though!

This weekend I ate at both here and The Chicken and the Egg for breakfast. I got an omelette at both locations. The Dockside Diner is seriously unrated on Unilocal. It is by far much better. The omelette was fresh, and delicious. I got a side of fresh fruit and it was delicious! Not a generic side of fruit, but one with such variety! The ambiance is so cute and cozy. Would definitely come back next time I’m down.

Been coming here for a couple of years now but won’t be coming back. Waitress never came by to warm the coffee(very weak) even though the place was not full(wonder why on Memorial Day) I was there with my daughter and son along with two of his teenage friends. Usually eat everything. The food was awful — under cooked hash browns on the whole table, the toast was soggy and not really toasted, the«Old-Style» corned beef hash was obviously from a can and and extremely bland. My son and his friend had the cheeseburger omelet that was a pocket of grease. No one finished their meal. Will not be going back I’m afraid.
