This place is the real deal. Barb and Pork Chop know what they’re doing when it comes to sourcing and cutting great local meat. The products they carry represent the best local farmers in our area. Every town needs a butcher shop like this.

This is a butcher shop, make no mistake about it. It is perched off the beaten path of main street and instead is in a awkward corner of two streets. Parking is typically not a problem albeit on the street. They feature a bunch of different meats and the quality is good. The price is however $$$. Expect to pay 3 times what the supermarket charges. I understand this since because it is not the typical trucked across the country commercial meat the rest of the world has. Its all locally sourced and butchered in house. They also serve a limited lunch menu each day and the selections are always very well executed. The only downside with eating there is again price. I mean expect to buy each item ala carte. Buy a burger. get fries? Nope, fries are not included… I guess this is the way trendy places do it but its off putting to go into a «neighborhood joint» and spend $ 20 on lunch. BUT as far as the quality. top notch. Everything is yummy. I’m not sold on their house made pepperoni though, It tastes more like a slim jim but other than that I like it!

Barb’s Butchery is heaven. The meat is superb, the shop is spotlessly clean, what else can I say? I especially appreciate the way the meat, after u buy it, is vac packed & labeled, freezer ready. She sells some cuts such as the grass-​fed chuck eye that are better than rib-​eye, that can’t be found in a regular neighborhood butcher or supermkt. My dogs love the chicken giblets. The rib lamb chops & pork chops are the best I’ve ever had & this includes a restaurant. I just hope there is enough business to keep Barb in Beacon as I’ve been butcherless for 20 yrs & had to spend a lot of money buying from ranches online. She has delicious pork tenderloin sandwiches on Saturday

Place has so much to recommend it. Tasty smoked sausage (I like the chicken sausages). Their hanburger mix is the best I’ve ever had. I highly recommend Barb’s.
